What to prepare

Nothing to gather. One choice earns 10,000 kamas: selling the real Amayiro's Jewel and returning a fake one to Amayiro.

The 10 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Amayiro

   Dialogue[-32,-57] · Amayiro

   At the militia, Amayiro tells you that the council refuses to send troops to the Cania plains. In the meantime, he tasks you with escorting a convoy to Astrub: these convoys are attacked by bandits, perhaps the ones from the previous investigation.

   

2. 2Meet Cheeka

   Dialogue[-29,-46] · Cheeka

   Offer to escort the next departure to Cheeka, the convoy leader. She first sends you to scout the route.

   

3. 3Scout the convoy route

   [-25,-45] [-21,-42] [-19,-37] [-14,-36] [-10,-35] [-6,-31]

   Go through the convoy's stops in this order: [-25,-45], [-21,-42], [-19,-37], [-14,-36], [-10,-35], then [-6,-31].

4. 4Repel the bandits' attack

   Combat[-6,-31] · Cheeka

   On the last map, talk to Cheeka: bandits attack the convoy. The fight can be done with several players. The bandits boost their AP, MP and area damage (Aggravated Flair, Discernment, which also reveals invisible enemies) and hit hard: Blueff (350 Air or Water), Reactive (270 Air in a cross, with erosion), Predestined (450 Earth, 4 MP removal, push or pull of 4 cells) and Feline Thought (500 Earth in melee).

5. 5Report to Amayiro

   [-32,-57] · Amayiro

   Tell him about the escort and the attack. The council has finally given its approval: you will transport a jewel to Astrub to trap the bandits who will attack.

6. 6Collect the jewel from Marge Gondersun

   Items[-33,-55] · Marge Gondersun

   The jeweler hands you Amayiro's Jewel, which will serve as a decoy, and also, strangely, a letter that a Xelor asked her to hand to her next customer.

7. 7Bring back the jewel… or not

   Items

   Two choices: bring the real jewel straight back to Amayiro, or make a detour via the Kikim Inn to sell the jewel for 10,000 kamas to Ekysoy Kubnan, who swaps it for a fake.

8. 8Give the jewel to Amayiro

   Items[-32,-57] · Amayiro

   Give Amayiro the real or the fake jewel, as you choose. Talk to him again to tell him you are ready to escort the convoy.

9. 9Escort the convoy

   Movement[-29,-46] [-21,-42] [-14,-36] [-6,-31] [-5,-22]

   Go back to the convoy's start, then escort it, passing through in this order [-21,-42], [-14,-36], [-6,-31] and [-5,-22]. This time, no attack.

   

10. 10Go back to Amayiro

    Dialogue[-32,-57] · Amayiro

    Amayiro suspects that a high-ranking officer is informing the bandits, which would explain why they are one step ahead of the Militia. The quest ends.

The rewards

The 10,000 kamas depend on your choices: they come from selling the real jewel to Ekysoy Kubnan.

No, it can be done with several players. It starts at [-6,-31], by talking to Cheeka at the end of the scouting.
