The 14 quest steps

1. 1Read the notebook

   Dialogue[-48,-78]

   The quest starts in the boat's hold to the Silent Wrecks. Click on the book, then on the choice offered on the last page.

2. 2Ask Lilia Nah for information

   On the same map, Lilia Nah tells you the author drowned in a barrel of rum.

3. 3Search the wreck

   [-46,-81] · Tortured Spirit

   Go into the wreck and click on the big broken crate. A Tortured Spirit appears: talk to it to learn more about its shipwreck.

4. 4Question the wreck sailors

   Dialogue

   Talk to three characters, in whatever order you like:

   • [-48,-80] enter the wreck: Seewulf advises you not to search the wrecks
   • [-49,-80] Kay Thanxbai advises you not to listen to the dead
   • [-48,-78] Gaymoff: no wonder about these stories, you're in hostile territory

   

5. 5Talk to the Frigostian Sailor

   Dialogue[-48,-78] · Frigostian Sailor

   Go back up onto the boat: the sailor recently rescued some Foggernauts.

6. 6Question the Foggernauts

   Dialogue[-48,-78] · Stupefied Foggernaut

   Go down to the bottom of the hold and talk to the Stupefied Foggernaut: hysterical, she thinks she's in a nightmare. Then go to the map on the left, at the start of the hold, and talk to Lilia Nah.

   1. “Ask for suggestions on how to manage to talk with the mad Foggernauts”

7. 7Have the Benzo Cake prepared

   Dialogue[-80,-45] · Herr Peece

   Ask the doctor Herr Peece for a cake, then give him the resources: 70 Oak Wood and 45 Belladonna.

8. 8Give the cake to the Stupefied Foggernaut

   Go back to the boat's hold, reachable from the boat in [-53,-73], and give two slices of cake to the Stupefied Foggernaut.

9. 9Question Zrid Rahys

   Dialogue[-47,-80] · Zrid Rahys

   Go see the Foggernauts' former employer to talk about their mission.

10. 10Take the underwater vortex

    [-45,-80]

    Go to where the Foggernauts ran into trouble and use the vortex to enter a cave. The quest The Death of My Life is partly unlocked at this point.

11. 11Defeat the Chipped Monolith

    Combat[-45,-80] · Chipped Monolith

    In the cave, talk to the Chipped Monolith. The fight is solo: to win, you just need to end your turn in contact with the Monolith. See the Fights section.

12. 12Find the exit

    After the fight, go through the huge skull of the creature, then, in the other room, leave by the stairs.

    Tell Zrid Rahys everything that happened.

14. 14Catch up with Lilia Nah

    Dialogue[-48,-78] · Lilia Nah

    Go back up onto the boat and talk to Lilia Nah in the hold: sailors reportedly brought servants of the unspeakable here. The quest ends.
