Beat Founoroshi

Never in contact with him at the start of his turn

When Founoroshi ends his turn, any character in contact with him gains the Founoroshi Not Blocked state. If they are still there at the start of his next turn, that character dies, and their neighbors within 2 cells take Fire damage. Always move away before he plays again.

The four-step strategy against Founoroshi

Pick up the state in a black glyph. At the end of his turn, Founoroshi places black glyphs, up to four late in the fight, which disappear at the start of his next turn. Walk into them to gain the Fire Extinction state: -3 RNG and -20 AP and MP dodge, until you put out a fire.

One state, one fire. Each fire has a brown glyph one cell to its right: step into it with the state to put it out. The state does not stack and is lost with each fire put out: pick it up again for the next fire. You keep it from one turn to the next as long as you have not put anything out.

The eight fires in fewer than 8 turns. A fire that has been put out relights 8 turns later as long as the monsters are invulnerable. Once all eight are out, everyone becomes vulnerable until the end of the fight, and you gain 15% damage per game turn. Sidekicks and non-static summons can also put fires out.

Founoroshi first. Focus everything on him: when he dies, the fires disappear and you finish the monsters in peace. When vulnerable, he can turn invisible with 2 more MP: keep something ready to find him again, and always keep everyone out of his contact at the start of his turn.

The barrels in the center

In the center of the room, invulnerable and unmovable barrels boost you when you hit them during your turn. In contact, 10% final damage for the whole fight, and the barrel pushes you back 3 cells. From a distance, it pulls you one cell, gives you a one-turn shield and heals you.

The Firefoux glyphs

Each Firefoux leaves its area: the Boombardier removes 6 RNG, the Spitfoux AP, the Fouxnamballist MP, the Bangartifoux erodes, the Gingerocket burns at the end of the turn. Monsters standing in them gain a bonus: flight, AP, Unmovable state or damage. Get out of them, and push the monsters out of theirs.

The monsters of the Fouxwork Factory

Five level 132 Firefoux, all with 2,800 HP, invulnerable like the boss as long as the fires burn. Each one places an annoying glyph, more fearsome than its hits. Resistances in red are their weaknesses.

In which order to kill the monsters

  1. Gingerocket — it heals the monsters it hits and leaves a glyph that burns at the end of the turn.
  2. Boombardier — its shells remove MP and 6 RNG, up to 12 RNG without line of sight under Fireworks.
  3. Spitfoux, then Bangartifoux, then Fouxnamballist — AP and MP removal, erosion: get out of their glyphs before hitting them.

Preparing your run through the Fouxwork Factory

An extreme-difficulty dungeon for teams of level 130 to 140: mobility matters more than damage, since you have to run from glyph to fire. People come here for Lantern Festival, for the achievements and for the Ochre Dofus soul.

How to enter the Fouxwork Factory

The entrance is in Feudala, on Pandala Island, at ; the nearest zaap is the Pandala Village one . There are three ways to open it: a Fouxwork Factory Key (consumed), the key ring if it is registered there, or the automatic group finder.

Crafting the Fouxwork Factory Key

It is crafted at a handyman's workshop. Five ingredients drop from the dungeon's Firefoux, at 27%: Spitfoux Skin, Gingerocket Skin, Boombardier Hairs, Bangartifoux Hairs and Macerated Meat. Monkfish (fishing), Ginseng and Hemp (harvesting) complete the recipe.

Which team to bring against Founoroshi

Mobile classes. Raise your characters to 6 MP, and take classes that move far to put the fires out quickly. An Abyssal Dofus makes putting them out even easier.

Sidekicks and summons. Sidekicks and non-static summons can put the fires out: one more fire-extinguisher, without exposing a character to Founoroshi.

The classes at ease. Mobile classes make the difference: Pandawa, Iop, Xelor, Eliotrope. All of them help to put the fires out quickly, then leave Founoroshi's side before his turn.

The five achievements of the Fouxwork Factory

Each achievement gives 12,540,000 XP and 2 Magical Founoroshi Tail, Duo doubles the XP. Special is played with the basic strategy, as long as you go fast.

Founoroshi (Special) iconFounoroshi (Special) Defeat Founoroshi in his dungeon while completing the “Keep the Flame Alive” challenge. 10 12 540 000

Special: Keep the Flame Alive

No fire must relight once put out. A fire relights 8 turns after being put out: there is no point in putting one out as early as turn 1. From the first fire put out, you have 8 turns to put out the other seven and kill Founoroshi. Bring mobile classes and kill him first: when he dies, the fires disappear.

Cautious

No ally must end their turn next to an enemy. Keep a buffer cell around each enemy, especially when heading toward the glyphs. MP removal makes turn endings risky: Heavying Smoke, Boomball and Roundaball can leave you stuck. Plan your arrival cell before setting off.

Tight

Each ally must end their turn next to another ally. Move the team as a block around a rallying-point character, and check every turn ending, never ending with the group stuck to Founoroshi.

Duo

Two characters maximum, fewer than 20 turns. Two mobile characters, able to put out the fires and keep the monsters at a distance. Non-static summons can put them out for you; once he is vulnerable, focus everything on Founoroshi.

Founoroshi, as soon as the fires are out: when he dies, the fires disappear and the rest of the fight becomes simple.

Which stone should you use to capture Founoroshi?

One Soul Stone for Big Souls (captures up to level 150). The soul is used for the Ochre Dofus quest.

Can the Fouxwork Factory be done with two players?
