Quests linked to the Mastodon Cemetery
Four quests go through the cemetery: two are completed on the Mantiscore, two only require searching certain rooms. Accept them before entering: a fight won without the quest in progress does not count.
Simone Tall suspects a Dofus is hidden here. Beat the Mantiscore in a single fight, find the exit of the Mastodon Cemetery, then go back to report to her.

- Simone Tall, Koalak Mountain

The 5 rooms of the Mastodon Cemetery
Five rooms, two of them very crowded. Several Ohwymi quests have you search items there: check rooms 1, 3, 4 and 5 before leaving. For each room: the scenery, then the tactical view with the starting cells (blue: you, red: the monsters). Tap an image to enlarge it.
Room 1
The last bone pile for Finding a Femur in a Bone Pile is searched here. If that's all you came for, leave afterward.

Room 2
One of the two most crowded maps in the dungeon: use the obstacles to break the monsters' lines of sight.

Room 3
First of the three samples for Skinless, Boneless, to be picked up while crossing the room. Don't leave it behind you.

Room 4
Another sample for Skinless, Boneless, and the map with the most obstacles: play behind them to avoid being approached.

Room 5 — the Mantiscore
The last sample for Skinless, Boneless. Pick it up before leaving the dungeon, otherwise you'll have to go back through it.

Beat the Mantiscore
Damosting's Double Touch
Damosting applies Reprieve on contact; on a target already under Reprieve, it hits harder and the Mantiscore heals a lot. Never let yourself be hit in melee two turns in a row, and immediately move any marked character away.

No invulnerability, but Shield Guard: when hit at range, it jumps to an adjacent cell, often far from its attacker. It hits in melee, pulls the whole team every 5 turns and roots at range. Weak Point: Water.
DamostingApplies Reprieve on contact; on an already marked target, it hits harder and heals a lot. Move any character under Reprieve away.
Vice GripSteals 2 dodgeable AP in contact. Each heal the target receives afterward gives power to the Mantiscore.
Desert TombRoots its target for 2 turns, from 2 to 5 range.
ProvocaspionOn turns 1, 6, 11 and onward: pulls everyone within 3 cells, then 50 power per enemy in contact with it.
The four-step strategy against the Mantiscore
The Leopena first. Kill the monsters before the boss, starting with the Leopena: Certain Death can kill a character that has already been hit in one blow. Meanwhile, keep the Mantiscore at a distance.
Use Garde-Bouclier. Each ranged hit makes it jump one cell, usually opposite the attacker: hit it to push it back while wearing it down. Hit in contact, it doesn't move.
The pull turns. On turns 1, 6, 11 and onward, Provocaspion pulls everyone within 3 cells, and each character stuck to it afterward gives it power. Be behind an obstacle or a static summon when it plays those turns, starting from placement for turn 1.
The Mantiscore alone. With all the monsters dead, focus on it, at range and preferably with Water. Don't let it hit you in melee, or Damosting will put it back on its feet.
When it can no longer jump
If the four cells around it are occupied when you hit it at range, it loses 50% resistances but gains 200 power for 2 turns, and stops teleporting during that time. An opening to kill it quickly, provided you can take its retaliation.
The monsters of the Mastodon Cemetery
Five desert animals at level 72 with 1,000 HP, which rely on poisons, removals and invisibility. The Leopena goes before everything else. The resistances in red are their weaknesses.
In which order to kill the monsters
- Leopena — its Certain Death kills in one blow a character already hit once by this spell.
- Fennex — it gives 30% vitality and 100 power to its allies, and reveals the invisible.
- Scordion, then Ourobubble — glyph and invisibility for the one, range and stolen MP for the other, both weak to Air and Water.
- Spykbal — with no clear weakness, it removes MP on contact and AP at range.

Preparing your run through the Mastodon Cemetery
An Ohwymi dungeon for teams of level 70 to 80 that play at range and control MP. You come here for the Dunes of Bones quests, the achievements and the Mantiscore Carapace; capturing requires a Soul Stone for Average Souls (captures up to level 100).
How to enter the Mastodon Cemetery
The entrance is east of the Dunes of Bones, at , on Ohwymi; the nearest zaap is the Dunes of Bones one . Talk to Carl Osse to enter. There are three ways to open it: a Mastodon Cemetery Key (consumed), the key ring if it is registered there, or the automatic group search.
Crafting the Mastodon Cemetery Key
It is crafted at a handyman's. Five ingredients drop from the dungeon's monsters, at around 40%: Ourobubble Scales, Scordion Tail, Fennex Tail, Leopena Eye and Blood-Soaked Meat. Pike (fishing), Freyesque Orchid and Flax (harvesting) complete the recipe; Skinless, Boneless also gives 3 Leopena Eye.

Which team to bring against the Mantiscore
Ranged play. The Mantiscore and most monsters hit in melee. Hitting the boss at range pushes it back one cell, which helps keep it away from the team.
MP removal and obstacles. MP removal limits its approaches, and obstacles or static summons protect you from its pull on turns 1, 6, 11 and onward.
Well-placed heals. A heal removes Hyenment's poison, but under Vice Grip each heal gives power to the Mantiscore. Don't heal a character under Vice Grip if you can avoid it.
The five achievements of the Mastodon Cemetery
Each achievement gives 2,020,000 XP and 2 Mantiscore Carapace, and Duo doubles the XP. Clean Hands and the Special one reuse the basic strategy; Zombie demands more rigor.
| Achievements | Condition | Points | XP |
|---|---|---|---|
| Defeat the Mantiscore in its dungeon by completing the “In Sting Range” challenge. | 10 | 2 020 000 | |
| Defeat the Mantiscore in this boss's dungeon. | 10 | 2 020 000 | |
| Defeat the Mantiscore in its dungeon by completing the “Clean Hands” challenge. | 10 | 2 020 000 | |
| Defeat the Mantiscore in its dungeon by completing the “Zombie” challenge. | 10 | 2 020 000 | |
| Defeat the Mantiscore in its dungeon by completing the “Duo” challenge. | 20 | 4 040 000 |
Special: In Sting Range
The Mantiscore must take no ranged damage. Kill all the monsters first, then attack the Mantiscore in melee only. In melee, Shield Guard does not make it jump, which makes your hits predictable.
Clean Hands
Enemies must be finished off without direct damage: traps, glyphs, poisons, pushback, reflects and summons are allowed. Basic strategy, finishing each enemy with indirect damage: pushback, poisons, glyphs or summons.
Zombie
Each ally must use exactly one MP per turn. More complicated: with a single MP, it is hard to escape the Mantiscore's melee. Hit it at range every turn so that Garde-Bouclier moves it away, and remove its MP.
Duo
Two characters maximum, fewer than 20 turns. Any team composition can do it without much trouble, Leopena first as usual. If you fail, come back with a few more levels.

Capturing the soul of the Mantiscore
A Soul Stone for Average Souls (captures up to level 100) is enough for this level 80 boss. Throw it once its monsters are dead, keeping the Mantiscore out of your contact.
