The 26 quest steps

  1. 1Talk to Surivitna

    Dialogue · Surivitna

Fishermen from Akwadala have discovered a Kwamabie, a Yokai able to predict the future. Surivitna wasn't able to communicate with her, but she wants to meet the hero of Pandala: you. For the shaman, her appearance foretells a great misfortune.

    Dialogue

    1. “Fancy that: the dream master seems to think he needs your help”
    Surivitna, at [20,-27] (Pandala Village)
    Surivitna · [20,-27]
  2. 2Listen to the Kwamabie

    Dialogue · Kwamabie

Tell the Kwamabie that you are the hero she is waiting for. She scrutinizes you: answer, then show her your Black-Spotted Dofus so she pays attention to you. Half-spoken, she warns you: Yokai are preparing a parade to carry Pandawa off into the Astral Plane and devour them. She explains how to repel them, and warns of the bewitching power of their parade.

    Dialogue

    1. “Plic”

You need to have a Black-Spotted Dofus in your inventory for the rest of the quest.

  3. 3Report the prophecy to Surivitna

    Items · Surivitna

The shaman finds it hard to believe, but trusts you. The only way to repel the spirits would be to put on a performance of them: he decides to gather the greatest painters of Pandala. For the parade, he advises you to consult a wise spirit.

    Dialogue

    1. “Report the exchange with the Kwamabie to Surivitna”
  4. 4Buy a Light Strong Beer

    Items · Urakoru

Before going to see the wise spirit, buy 1 Light Strong Beer from Urakoru in the forbidden inn.

    Dialogue[0,0] · Urazaki

Go to the paper realm of the celestial kingdoms and climb the stairs. For the sage to agree to help you, offer him his favorite drink, light strong beer. The parade's music bewitches mortals: only a talisman containing part of his body can protect you from it, and you must relive his spiritual ascent in a dream to obtain it.

    Dialogue

    1. “Trace the characters for the words ‘Yokai, Protect, Death’ on the paper in front of the spirit”
    2. “Tell Urazaki you are ready to dive into his dream”

  6. 6Talk to Keiko and the monks

    Dialogue[0,0]

In Urazaki's silent dream, talk to Keiko: she can't hear you, but welcomes you with signs. Then talk to the three Monks of the Order of Silence: the one on the right covers his ears and murmurs, the one on the left, in blue, tells you that Keiko is the chosen one and Urazaki's pupil, and the one in the center, with citrus bananas in his ears, is getting ready for the ascent.

  7. 7Greet the sage Kozaru

    Dialogue[0,0] · Urazaki

  8. 8Protect Urazaki from the Yokomainu

    Movement · Obareppon

At Mount Tombs, ask the Obareppon, a faceless Yokai, how to find the parade in the Astral Plane. He agrees on one condition: entering into symbiosis with Maba Kadabra, to feel the senses he lacks. The painter goes along with it.

    · Pandawayang

Enter the ship's hold and talk to Pandawayang until the end of the play, the legend of the sage and the mouse. Then talk to the Yokai, through Maba Kadabra: the passage to the parade is a well to the northwest of Mount Tombs, which he will help you open.

You must have completed Spectacular Ink to continue.

    Movement · Maba Kadabra

Click the well to slip inside. In the spirit world, talk to the Yokai: seeing your talisman, it gives Maba his body back. Talk to Maba Kadabra several times as the parade advances: the painters paint, the talisman glows and protects you from the music, then the Yokai look at the painters hungrily.

  17. 17Witness Maba's possession

    · Maba Kadabra

Talk to Maba Kadabra again: an Onigori rushes at him and disappears, then a shadow comes out of his body. Talk to him again: the mark on his forehead betrays that the Yokai has taken control. He advises you against attacking, at the risk of damaging your friend's body, and flees through the well.

  18. 18Question the Obareppon, then Nurarihyon

    Dialogue · Nurarihyon

The Obareppon has nothing to do with it: he is the one who came out of Maba, driven out by the Onigori. If the talisman didn't work, it's because that Onigori wasn't an ordinary one. Nurarihyon, the leader of the parade, agrees to help you in exchange for Urazaki's talisman: the Onigori is possessed by a demon who broke the pact and should have stayed near Grobe. Leave the talisman and go.

    · Miguss

Miguss is determined to save Maba. A friend of his, passing through Pandala, wanted to talk to him about a kidnapping involving demons.

  20. 20Meet Ben Kneehill

    Dialogue · Ben Kneehill

At Feudala, tell Ben Kneehill what happened. No connection with his demons, but the first hours of possession are the only time to weaken the demon. Miguss hands Maba's inkwell to Barnaby, who sniffs out the trail toward Terrdala.

  24. 24Free Maba Kadabra

    Combat · Maba Kadabra

Enter the skull-shaped cave and talk to Barnaby, who found Maba Kadabra with three Onigori. Talk to Maba: he orders you to leave. When you refuse, he attacks you. The fight is solo, with Barnaby. You then get a Strange Character, a sign Maba drew all over Mount Tombs.

    · Maba Kadabra

Talk to Maba again: he plunges his arm into the flames of the curse and throws an emerald flame at you, but you absorb his energy. Talk to him again: astonished, the demon gives up and abandons your friend. Finally, talk to Maba Kadabra, who has regained his body.

  26. 26Take Maba back to Surivitna

    Dialogue · Surivitna

Sum up the events to the shaman. Miguss has finished the painting, which Surivitna will show to as many Pandawa as possible. The character you found means nothing to Surivitna: probably a demon glyph. The quest ends.

The fights

Yokomainu

Yokomainu

Level 200

In Urazaki's dream, alone with Urazaki (8,200 HP), who meditates and doesn't play: his black glyph Deaf Wise Monkey's Dream, in a 3×3 square around him, gives you a shield of 150% of your level for 1 turn if you start your turn inside it. He must not die. Two Yokomainu (4,100 HP), identical in appearance but with different spells: the first to play, called A, and the second, called Un. Their A-Gyō and Un-Gyō combo adds a line of 60% of your HP Left: tackling both in your melee, with a Lady Jhessica's Belt for example, stops Yokomainu A from casting A-Gyō.

  • Jinnai Yokomainu

Yokomainu A, from the start: shares the damage taken with all the monsters, with no duration limit.

  • Ryzsun Breeze

Yokomainu A: hits for 500 in Air and reduces the duration of effects by 2. Range 3 to 5, cooldown of 2 turns.

  • Yokomainu Aspiration

Yokomainu A: pulls 1 cell and hits for 130 in Water and 130 in Air. Range 3, 3 times per turn and 2 times per target.

  • A-Gyō

Yokomainu A: hits for 450 in Water, plus 60% of HP Left in Neutral if the target has the Un-Gyō state. Applies the A-Gyō state for 1 turn and gives 3 MP to its allies for 1 turn. If the Neutral line hit, removes the A-Gyō and Un-Gyō states. In line, from 4 to 6 range, 1 times per turn.

  • Setsun Fang

Yokomainu Un: hits for 800 in Earth and removes 3 AP for 2 turns. Range 2, cooldown of 2 turns.

  • Yokomainu Bite

Yokomainu Un: hits for 250 in Fire with life steal and applies 10% erosion for 1 turn. Range 3, 3 times per turn and 2 times per target.

  • Un-Gyō

Yokomainu Un: hits for 600 in Earth, plus 60% of HP Left in Neutral if the target has the A-Gyō state. Applies the Un-Gyō state for 1 turn and gives 3 range to its allies for 1 turn. If the Neutral line hit, removes both states. In melee, 1 times per turn.

Hyakune

Hyakune

Level 200

Wave fight at the Passing Parade, can be done in a group. Wave 1: 2 Parading Bakazako, 2 Parading Tsume-Bozu and 1 Parading Onigori. Wave 2, 2 turns later: 2 Yokomainu, which share the damage of all the monsters; here, both are of the A-Gyō type, so there is no combo. Wave 3, 2 turns later: Hyakune, truly invulnerable. To remove HP from him, kill his Hyakune Eyes: each eye killed removes from him roughly the HP you took off the eye. An eye (100 HP) gains 200 HP per turn: killed as soon as it arrives, it only removes about 30 HP; left for one or more turns, it almost surely removes all its HP, 500 after 3 turns. The spells of the wave monsters are those of the Spirit Abode dungeon.

  • Hundredeyes

Becomes Invulnerable and Damage taken x0%, with no duration limit.

  • Oneeye

  • Ember Gaze

Hits for 200 in Fire in a circle of radius 4 around each eye. Cooldown of 3 turns.

  • Redeyes

Applies the Gravity state and a Fire poison of 45 to 53 for 2 turns, in a circle of radius 2 around him.

  • Nice'Eyes

Hits for 450 in Water and removes 20 dodge for 1 turn. Melee only.

Maba Kadabra

Maba Kadabra

He hits little, but summons 2 Ink Creatures (4,400 HP) per turn, 5 at most, and heals by hitting them: about 250 HP per creature. They are the ones that hit, mostly up close and from 5 range at most.

  • Otoshop

Sets a threshold at 2,750 HP. Each turn, hits all the Ink Creatures for 500 in Neutral, with life steal.

  • Sketch
