What to prepare

You need to be able to do the Shogun Tofugawa's Tomb dungeon, and collect four ectoplasms from the monsters of the Grobe cemetery, at a base rate of 6%.

• 1 × Panducklerto equip in place of your shield to start the quest
• 1 × Pandazahior 1 Pandaporo, for The Grandapan; the Pandazahi is bought at [22,-27]

The 17 quest steps

1. 1Enter the Pandassembly Hall

   Movement[22,-29] · The Grandapan

   Equip your Panduckler in place of your shield, then enter the Pandassembly Hall, to the left of the Daimyo. Stand on the carpet in front of the platform to make The Grandapan appear, and give him a Pandazahi or a Pandaporo, your choice.

   For Orukam to give you the quest, you need to have redone the first four quests of the But Where Are the Dofus? achievement, which were modified by update 2.56. If you did them before, your achievement may be validated even though they need to be redone: look for their names in your quest log.

2. 2Talk to Orukam

   Dialogue · Orukam

   Point out to Orukam that his other half, the dragon Imagiro, is not there. Now that you have recovered the Dokamuro, you will have to help Imagiro find the second Dofus, the Dorigami. The White Dragon is waiting for you in front of the Dofus receptacle.

3. 3Talk to Imagiro

   Dialogue[21,-33] · Imagiro

   Leave the Ether: you are teleported to a room next to the receptacle, at [21,-33]. Otherwise, go there yourself and pass under the waterfall. Imagiro asks you to find his Dofus, the paper Dofus, which the Lenald kept, notably Ronald, so that Orukam and he can become one.

   

4. 4Meet Ronald the Wise Lenald

   Dialogue[22,-28] · Ronald the Wise Lenald

   Go up to the upper floor of the Lenald House. Ronald had hidden the Dofus on Grobe, under the guard of a Yokai through a pact with Inali, the goddess of rice. He disappeared on the Cursed Day; wrongly accused, Dark Vlad left him a scar that prevents him from approaching Grobe. The Dofus was hidden in a crypt protected by a maze, west of Mount Tombs.

   

5. 5Obtain the Slayspirit Lantern spell

   Items[36,-40] · Danaba Retzu

   To enter the secret crypt, you need to own the special spell Slayspirit Lantern. If you already have it, go on to the next step. Otherwise, go see Danaba Retzu on Grobe: she entrusts the spell to you in exchange for 4 Samurai Ghost Fabric.

6. 6Cross the crypt maze

   Movement[35,-45]

   Go to Grobe, by boat at [27,-27], and enter the crypt at [35,-45]. It is a maze of clickable slabs: some lower when you click on them, others are trapped and teleport you elsewhere in the World of Twelve. Find the right path by lowering 17 slabs in the right order to reach the other side of the room.

   It is easy to click on the wrong slab. Once slab 17 is lowered, you are teleported to the next room and a fight starts automatically.

   

7. 7Defeat the ghosts of the crypt

   Combat[35,-45]

   As soon as you get through the maze, a group of ghost Yokai attacks you. The fight is solo.

   Their spells: Bamboo Thlow (160 Water, removes 5 AP for 2 turns), Bambush (250 Water), Clitical Powel (+20% critical and +20% final damage for 2 turns), Lenaldish Inspilation (+2 MP for 2 turns and heals 400 HP), Lenald Luse (120 Fire), Bamboo Backlash (70 Fire, removes 2 MP for 2 turns), Lenald Attlaction (pulls you in), Spectlal Sclatch (140 Earth, removes 20 Flight for 2 turns). Keep an eye on your AP and MP.

8. 8Talk to the Valiant Ghost of a Lenald Warrior

   Dialogue[35,-45] · Valiant Ghost of a Lenald Warrior

   He thought Ronald was dead, like him and his companions. They had gone into the evil forest to take back the Dofus from Dark Vlad, named as the thief, who unleashed his Black Fire upon them. Since then, the ghosts have been wandering here, unable to reach the Externam because of the curse.

9. 9Look for clues in the crypt

   Movement[35,-45]

   Examine three elements of the room that housed the paper Dofus: the broken pot, which gives you an unusual substance, the stele, a mysterious substance, and the tree branch, a suspicious substance.

10. 10Show the clues to Danaba Retzu

    Items[36,-40] · Danaba Retzu

    Enter Danaba Retzu's tent. One of the substances comes from the Yokai that guarded the Dofus, another from the Lenald ghosts; for the last one, she hesitates and asks you for ghost ectoplasms to compare.

    Dialogue

    1. “Show him what you found in the crypt”

    Danaba Retzu also starts the quest Where's My Samurai? if you wish.

    

11. 11Collect the four ectoplasms

    Items

    Collect one ectoplasm from each monster in the Nolifis Cemetery area, at a 6% base rate: Tsukinochi Ectoplasm, Drumurai Ectoplasm, Onabu-Geisha Ectoplasm and Jiangshi-Nobi Ectoplasm.

    They also drop in the dungeon, but this is strongly discouraged: right afterward, you must enter the dungeon through room 1, otherwise the quest does not update.

12. 12Give the ectoplasms to Danaba Retzu

    Danaba Retzu confirms her fears: the substance left behind seems to be that of Shogun Tofugawa.

13. 13Do the Shogun Tofugawa's Tomb dungeon

    Enter the Shogun Tofugawa's Tomb dungeon, at [36,-44]. You absolutely must enter room 1 to update the quest. Then do the dungeon and defeat the boss, Shogun Tofugawa.

14. 14Question Shogun Tofugawa

    Once the dungeon is finished, talk to the Shogun. He feigns innocence: he was looking for new recruits, the maze was easy and the room empty, with no Dofus or Yokai. He advises you instead to find that Yokai, which may have stolen the Dofus it was supposed to protect.

15. 15Face the Pandissidan spectres

    Combat[38,-41] · Pandissidora Spectre

    Meet at [38,-41], where the Yokai are said to gather. The Pandissidora Spectre is aggressive: a wave fight starts, and it can be done with several players.

16. 16Talk to the Pandissidora Spectre again

    No Yokai gathers here: this is the Pandissidans' meeting place. The Shogun tricked you, hoping the group would finish you off.

17. 17Confront Shogun Tofugawa

    Dialogue[36,-44] · Shogun Tofugawa

    Go back to [36,-44] : talk to Yinchika, then to the Shogun. He confesses: the curse of Grobe is painful, and near the Dorigami's crypt the pain eased. He had the guardian Yokai fought by a ghost-devouring Yokai, seized the Dorigami and entrusted it to that Yokai, which has become uncontrollable since Pandala's awakening. The quest ends.

Where does the Cursed Disappearance quest start?

In the Pandassembly Hall, in the village of Pandala at [22,-29]. Equip a Panduckler, stand on the carpet and give a Pandazahi or a Pandaporo to the Grandapan to reach Orukam.

Orukam won't give me the quest, why?

You need to have redone the first four quests of the But Where Are the Dofus? achievement, which were modified by update 2.56. Check that they appear in your quest log.

How do you enter the secret crypt?

With the Slayspirit Lantern spell. Danaba Retzu, at [36,-40], entrusts it to you in exchange for 4 Samurai Ghost Fabric.

How do you defeat the Pandissidora Spectre?

It is only vulnerable from its turn on turn 11. Until then, eliminate the three waves of Pandissidit and Pandissidulum Spectres; the fight is done in a group.
