1. 1Talk to Thorbjarn

   Dialogue[36,-77] · Thorbjarn

   Thorbjarn is worried: someone is trying to harm the colony's trade with the Bitter-Hammers, Nimbos settled on the island of Ereboria. The colony has raw materials but lacks food. He advises you to go see Jarl Gidrud.

   

2. 2Meet Jarl Gidrud

   Dialogue[36,-77] · Gidrud

   Enter the hut behind Thorbjarn. Gidrud explains the barter: the colony delivers food to the Nimbos, who supply ore and gemstones. But Viggö came back empty-handed from the last delivery, and the Bitter-Hammers claim they received nothing. She asks you to investigate.

3. 3Question Viggö

   Dialogue[37,-77] · Viggö

   Meet at [37,-77] and enter the house in the center of the map, Viggö's house. The delivery man seems terrified: questioning him gets you nothing, he is not in his normal state.

   

4. 4Talk to Erika

   Dialogue[37,-77] · Erika

   His wife Erika, at his side, says that Viggö has had nightmares and anxiety attacks since his return. His attacks get worse when the hearth is lit: the smell of burning or the ashes could be the cause. Ask her for permission to light the fire to see the effect on him.

5. 5Light the stove

   Combat[37,-77]

   Click the stove behind Viggö to throw a leek pie into the hearth. Crackling flames then attack you: the fight is done alone, but a companion seems able to come along with you.

   You must own the common spell Leek Pie and have it active as a variant. Winning the fight is not mandatory: the quest advances whatever the outcome.

6. 6Watch Viggö's reaction

   Dialogue[37,-77] · Viggö

   When the smell of burning gets stronger, Viggö becomes agitated and sees burned dead people chasing him. He tries to attack you twice, then Erika calms him with a slap. He tells everything: a Bitter-Hammer older than usual, with a wooden leg, was waiting for him. Viggö was knocked out, woke up surrounded by creatures, and lost the cargo while running away.

   At the first choice, do not try to lay a hand on him: he attacks you.

7. 7Report to Gidrud

   [36,-77] · Gidrud

   Go back to see Gidrud in her hut. She believes Viggö is not to blame, and thinks Berylbell, the chief of the Bitter-Hammers, would not have lied. She writes a letter and sends you to ask Nascherite for advice, a Nimbos whom the colony and the Bitter-Hammers trust.

8. 8Hand the letter to Nascherite

   Items[33,-84] · Nascherite

   Go to the Forgelance temple at [33,-84] and give the letter to Nascherite, who opens it and starts reading. Quick path: at [37,-77], on the right, Hy Hländer teleports you to [34,-83] for 50 kamas; then go left and go up.

   Wait at least 2 minutes for Nascherite to finish reading the letter before talking to her again.

9. 9Ask Nascherite's opinion

   Dialogue[33,-84] · Nascherite

   Talk to Nascherite again. For her too, Berylbell Copperbeard would never jeopardize the deal: you have to meet her in person. But the island of Ereboria is cursed, and Nascherite wants to test your worth in a duel. You are teleported to the training room.

10. 10Face Nascherite

    Combat[33,-84] · Nascherite

    Talk to Nascherite again, who asks you to scratch her with your weapon. The fight is done alone. The goal is not to win: bring her to her threshold of 1 HP, then let her eliminate you once her spear Mani is summoned.

11. 11Listen to Nascherite's plan

    Nascherite acknowledges that you have what it takes to go to the island. Her plan: have steward Händel Itäll prepare a new delivery for Ereboria, and bring her ardonite so she can make you a protective item.

12. 12Warn Händel Itäll

    Dialogue[38,-77] · Händel Itäll

    Ask Händel Itäll to prepare a new shipment. He first refuses, because a new delivery so soon would force the colony to ration, then accepts when you explain that the order comes from Nascherite: a boat will be ready within the hour. Quick path: go down then right to [34,-83], where Hy Hländer teleports you to [37,-77] for 50 kamas; then go right.

13. 13Collect 1 Ardonite

    While the ship is being prepared, get 1 Ardonite.

14. 14Give the Ardonite to Nascherite

    Items[33,-84] · Nascherite

    Go back to the Forgelance temple (same quick path through Hy Hländer at [37,-77]). Nascherite will forge and enchant an amulet that will protect you on Ereboria, cursed for 2000 years: those who die there come back to a semblance of life. You are teleported to the runic forge, in the temple basement.

15. 15Visit the runic forge

    Talk to Nascherite again: this is where the 7 Oath Lances were born. While she forges the amulet, examine the forge: the hammer resting against the anvil, the sign at the back of the forge showing spear prototypes, and the molten metal behind the Nimbos.

16. 16Receive Nascherite's Amulet

    Dialogue[33,-84] · Nascherite

    Talk to Nascherite again: only the enchantment remains, which she performs by singing. She gives you Nascherite's Amulet, which keeps your soul from staying trapped on the island. Worn around the neck, it also lets you take the appearance of a Bitter-Hammer by fighting one.

17. 17Board for Ereboria

    Go to the boat for Ereboria. Quick path: go down then right to [34,-83], where Hy Hländer teleports you to [37,-77] for 50 kamas; then go down and left. Marina Tysal warns you that the crew will not approach the island: you will land by rowboat. The quest ends.
