Get the ingredients for Volkaragnar's tonic ready, including 10 Piece of Thrall Chain to obtain from the monsters of Servitude's Galley, and the Shackles of Tyranny dungeon.

The 17 quest steps

1. 1Talk to the Chained Artefact

   Dialogue[0,0] · Chained Artefact

   The quest starts right after the previous one, in Servitude's Galley. The Chained Artefact is none other than Draconiros, imprisoned.

2. 2Listen to Draconiros's Imprisoned Soul

   Dialogue[0,0] · Draconiros's Imprisoned Soul

   After repairing the Astral plane and the Well of Dreams, Draconiros rested in his Dofus. Servitude took advantage of this to chain his soul and uses it to make his Galley more efficient. He is not responsible for the slaves' nightmares: the Galley absorbs the blood and bodies of the dead, and their dreams reach it. The chains must be broken, in order, to free him.

3. 3Break the first chain

   Talk to Servitude's First Chain: already weakened, it breaks with a single weapon strike.

4. 4Defeat Servitude's Second Chain

   Combat[0,0] · Servitude's Second Chain

   If you try the same thing on the second chain, a solo fight starts.

5. 5Strike the third chain

   [0,0] · Servitude's Third Chain

   No matter how hard you bring your weapon down on Servitude's Third Chain, it doesn't give way.

6. 6Ask Draconiros for advice

   Dialogue[0,0] · Draconiros's Imprisoned Soul

   Tell him the third chain is too resistant. He tells you about Volkaragnar, a blacksmith able to break any metal, if he survived the Eliocalypse and agrees to help.

   To continue, you must have completed Burin's Dane, where you meet Volkaragnar for the first time.

7. 7Find Volkaragnar

   Movement[-29,25] · Volkaragnar

   Enter the mine at [-23,21] and keep heading left. Volkaragnar agrees to make a tonic to upgrade a weapon, provided you bring him the ingredients, including metal with the same properties as the chain.

8. 8Gather the ingredients

   Items

   You need 1 Big Phial, 10 Sulphur Pouch, 2 Sylvan Substrate, 10 Piece of Thrall Chain and 1 Twiggy Hammer. Pieces of Thrall Chain drop at a base 15% from two monsters in Servitude's Galley: the Ballackeys and the Ecaptives.

9. 9Have the tonic made

   Dialogue[-29,25] · Volkaragnar

   Go back to the mine at [-23,21], always to the left, and show him the Twiggy Hammer too. Volkaragnar makes the Volkaragnar Tonic: pour it into a pit of molten lava, then dip the hammer in it.

10. 10Clear the magmort column

    [-29,29]

    Click the little volcano at the top of the map to throw in the tonic. Monsters block the way: a fight starts, which can be done with several players. These monsters' spells are detailed on the Solar's Tower dungeon page.

    Clicking the volcano starts a group fight: get ready beforehand.

    

11. 11Dip the hammer

    [-29,29]

    After the fight, click again on the rock where the lava flows, at the top of the map, to dip your hammer in it. You get the Fortified Twiggy Hammer.

12. 12Break the third chain

    [0,0] · Servitude's Third Chain

    Equip the Fortified Twiggy Hammer in place of your weapon, go back to Servitude's Galley and talk to Servitude's Third Chain: it breaks.

    The Fortified Twiggy Hammer must be equipped as a weapon when you strike the chain.

13. 13Break the fourth chain

    Dialogue[0,0] · Servitude's Fourth Chain

    Being Agile, Servitude's Fourth Chain dodges your first blow. Answer in this order to break it.

14. 14Try the fifth chain

    [0,0] · Servitude's Fifth Chain

    You try to break Servitude's Fifth Chain, but nothing happens.

15. 15Listen to Draconiros's plan

    Dialogue[0,0] · Draconiros's Imprisoned Soul

    The last chain drains his power: it's the one Servitude protects the most. Draconiros proposes a plan: distract Servitude while he uses his last strength to break it.

16. 16Defeat Servitude

    Combat[4,-3]

    Enter the Shackles of Tyranny dungeon at [4,-3] and defeat Servitude in a single fight. Then talk to him to get out.

17. 17Talk to Weakened Draconiros

    Dialogue[0,0] · Weakened Draconiros

    Go back to Servitude's Galley, inside the figurehead. Weakened Draconiros reveals to you Servitude's true intention: to enslave the gods of the World of Twelve. The quest ends.
