The 9 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Nosya Rouge

   Dialogue[-12,22] · Nosya Rouge

   The quest starts right after the previous one. While Nosya takes Imaguni to the temple, she tasks you with having the dagger analyzed: you must find out where it came from and whether Imaguni has accomplices.

   

2. 2Show the dagger to Mulic Bere

   Items[-28,33] · Mulic Bere

   In Brakmar, go upstairs and show the dagger to Mulic Bere. It was forged by an exceptional smith: an ancient creature, awakened in the heart of an underground volcano by Burin, an ore miner who dug too deep. The volcano's heat would kill you, but Burin had a talisman that protected him from it.

   

3. 3Go down into the abandoned mine

   Movement[-23,21]

   Enter the mine. Go left, then all the way left again. Go down the steps, then twice deeper still. The heat becomes intense: you cannot get through the next room, your body could liquefy.

   

4. 4Defeat the Cave Trool at Burin's grave

   Combat

   Go back to the junction where the paths split into four and go right, down the steps. Click the grave in the middle of the room, Burin's: a fight starts against a Cave Trool, it is solo. The victory gives you Burin's talisman.

5. 5Enter the furnace

   Movement[-28,24] · Volkaragnar

   Protected by the talisman, go back down to the overheated room and enter the heart of the volcano. Volkaragnar admits he forged the weapon, first takes you for a thief, then for someone who has come to take revenge. Intrigued, he invites you to join him in the crater: touch his anvil.

6. 6Question Volkaragnar in the crater

   Dialogue[-29,25] · Volkaragnar

   He has taken the form of a dragon and refuses to name his client. He finally admits that he saw it as a chance to get out of a debt. He belongs to the Brotherhood of the Forgotten but stays out of the plots, and points you to a friend of Brumen, to be questioned about a visitor from far away.

   1. “Don't be intimidated and ask who he made the dagger for”
   2. “Show your disappointment at the blacksmith's attitude and leave”

   

7. 7Question Feruor Mithridate

   Dialogue[-27,17] · Feruor Mithridate

   In the inn, talk to Feruor Mithridate about the visitor. The Eniripsa fears reprisals. Once reassured, he tells you that a Sram from Srambad was looking for a toxic mushroom, once used by a guild of assassins, that grows only in the underground of the Fungi region.

   Dialogue

   1. “Reassure him and promise to protect him”

   If you threaten him, you have to wait 5 minutes before you can talk to him again.

   

8. 8Defeat the Srambad Huntress

   Combat[-12,31]

   Go to the cave entrance at [-13,30], go down and enter the cave on the right to reach the Fungi caverns at [-12,31]. The Srambad Huntress wants to eliminate the witness: the fight is fought alone. You take a poisoned dagger from her.

9. 9Bring the poisoned dagger back to Jalcas

   Items[8,-67] · Jalcas

   Jalcas has already seen this Sram with the leader of the Deboning clan, visiting the temple: he feels betrayed. She is said to belong to the Toxines gang, which may be behind the kidnapping of the magypus. The quest ends.
