By the Skin of Your Teeth

What to prepare

To start the quest, and every time you need to talk to the Corpstive, your energy must be below 1,000: otherwise, he won't talk to you. The meeting is at 19:00, in-game time.

The 8 quest steps

1. 1Talk to the Corpstive

   Dialogue[-67,-43] · Corpstive

With less than 1,000 energy, talk to the Corpstive. He was assassinated by a certain Jean-Louis, who coveted his lands before the glaciation. He asks you to explain to his wife what happened to him, in the Village.

Energy below 1,000 is mandatory, otherwise the Corpstive won't talk to you.

2. 2Warn Ghislaine

   Dialogue[-81,-40] · Ghislaine

Enter the little house and explain the situation to Ghislaine, who has trouble believing you.

3. 3Go back to see the Corpstive

   Dialogue[-67,-43] · Corpstive

Still with less than 1,000 energy, go back to see the Corpstive. To convince his wife, he entrusts you with a story that only the two of them know.

4. 4Convince Ghislaine

   Dialogue[-81,-40] · Ghislaine

Go back to the little house. Ghislaine is starting to believe you and sets a meeting with you at 19 o'clock.

5. 5Go to the meeting

   Combat[-85,-42]

Once 19 o'clock has passed, in-game time, go to the west district of the Village, at [-85,-42]. Surprise: a Frigostien Saoul attacks you. You fight alone.

6. 6Catch Ghislaine by surprise

   [-81,-40] · Ghislaine

Go back to Ghislaine's: you catch her with Jean-Louis. She is the one who ordered the assassination of her husband, a rich man, to live with Jean-Louis. But he had invested his money in the fields, and the glaciation made him lose everything. She offers you a deal.

Two possible endings. Accepting her offer earns you 20,000 kamas for your silence and ends the quest. Refusing leads to the next two steps and earns 2 Ice Kama.

7. 7Report Ghislaine to Mayor Cantile

   [-77,-42] · Mayor Cantile

If you turned down the offer, report Ghislaine and Jean-Louis to Mayor Cantile.

8. 8Tell the Corpstive everything

   [-67,-43] · Corpstive

With less than 1,000 energy, explain the whole story to the Corpstive. The quest ends and you receive 2 Ice Kama.
