What to prepare

You need to be able to go to Srambad, the city of thieves, and run the Throne Room of the Dark Court dungeon. The other two fights can be done as a group.

The 14 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Meriana

   Dialogue[-6,-3] · Meriana

   Following the previous quest, Meriana advises you to go to the Osamodas temple to get Crocabulia's egg, which would make it possible to reincarnate Crocoburio.

   

2. 2Meet Zeurg

   Dialogue[8,2] · Zeurg

   At the Osamodas temple, Zeurg tells you that the egg is at the Amakna bank.

3. 3Claim the egg from the bank

   The Banker can't hand over the egg to you: it has been stolen.

4. 4Question Agent Smisse

   Dialogue[10,16] · Agent Smisse

   At the Rogue Temple, Agent Smisse tells you that it was Charlie Endstown-Smisse who organized the burglary: you can surely bargain with him for the egg.

5. 5Talk to Charlie Endstown-Smisse

   Enter the smiths' workshop by the left entrance. Charlie Endstown-Smisse no longer has the egg: he sends you to see the Smisses of Srambad.

6. 6Meet Frank Lee Smisse in Srambad

   Go to Srambad, the city of thieves. In the Shadowy Heights, Frank Lee Smisse will tell you more if you reconcile Blak and Sissipie Smisse, who have been on bad terms since a botched operation in the catacombs.

7. 7Listen to Sissipie Smisse

   Dialogue[5,2] · Sissipie Smisse

   At the Torturer's Tavern, Sissipie accuses Blak: his machines against the necrotics exploded in his men's faces.

8. 8Listen to Blak Smisse

   Dialogue[1,6] · Blak Smisse

   According to Blak, his bombs weren't defective: Sissipie's men were inexperienced.

9. 9Check the bombs

   Combat[6,7] · Insecticide Bomb

   In the catacombs, talk to the Insecticide Bomb and try to pick it up: 2 Poison Huntresses attack you. The fight can be done as a group.

10. 10Reconcile Sissipie and Blak

    Go back to see Sissipie Smisse: you were attacked by Toxines, perhaps the cause of her men's defeat, and she agrees to talk to Blak about it. Then show the bomb to Blak Smisse: it has been tampered with, the fuse has been shortened.

11. 11Strike a deal with Frank Lee Smisse

    Blak and Sissipie are reconciled. The Smisses will give you the egg in exchange for one last favor: retrieve an item held by the Queen of Thieves.

12. 12Defeat the Queen of Thieves

    Combat[8,-4]

    Run the Throne Room of the Dark Court dungeon and defeat the Queen of Thieves to get a Locked Chest.

13. 13Hand over the chest to the Smisses

    Give the chest to Frank Lee Smisse. The Rogues are not honest: 4 Rogues attack you. The fight can be done as a group. Once victorious, you get Crocabulia's egg.

    Rogue spells: Blak's Carbine (200 Air and 3 MP removed, diagonal up to 8 RNG), Mastard (350 Air, in a line from 4 to 5 RNG), Mastohorns (450 Water in a perpendicular line and 2 AP removed, at melee range), Smisse Clan Disenchantment (350 Earth and -1 to the duration of effects, in a line up to 4 RNG), Smisse Clan Extraction (200 Fire as life steal, in a line up to 7 RNG), Smisse Drive (400 Fire, from 3 to 6 RNG), Blinding Sphere (280 Water in an area and 2 AP removed, up to 1 RNG). They summon a Seismobomb and a Water Bomb, and boost themselves (Smisse Countdown, 18 damage; Smisse Imposture, 40% combo damage and position swap). Roguish Avalanche hits for 80 Earth, Roguish Downpour for 50 Water with 2 AP removed.

14. 14Show the egg to Meriana

    Items[-6,-3] · Meriana

    Show Crocabulia's egg to Meriana: all that's left is to make Crocoburio's soul enter it. The quest ends, and the rest of the conversation starts the last quest of the series.
