The 16 quest steps

  1. 1Talk to Crokalcrolak

    Dialogue · Crokalcrolak

At the Astrub zaap, Crokalcrolak wants to go back to Crocuzko, the island of his ancestors, too far from the mainland. Going through the time anomalies, he ended up stuck in one of them. There is a zaap on his island: he asks you to find a way to join him, especially as he can hear the sound of an unusual crocodyl.

  2. 2Ask the Xelor Envoy for help

    Dialogue · Xelor's Emissary

The Xelor Envoy agrees to send you someone to enter the invisible anomaly. It won't be Entropix, who is a bit grumpy today.

    Dialogue

    1. “Tell him about Crokalcrolak's problem”
  3. 3Meet the Chronomagic Expert

    Dialogue · Chronomagic Expert

Go back to the Astrub zaap. The Chronomagic Expert has talked to the crocodyl: he is stuck in a time before Xelor's clock, with a mysterious white crocodyl. To enter the anomaly, he needs the year and the name of the battle from that era, a handful of dirt from that time and a magic object that was in Astrub back then.

  4. 4Question Magus Ax

    Dialogue · Magus Ax

Magus Ax tells you about the Jade Twilight, a famous battle between the crocodyls and the people of Astrub, around -400. To learn more, he sends you to a specialist friend.

    Dialogue

    1. “Ask him for information about battles involving crocodyls in Astrub”

  6. 6Read The Red-Eyed Threat

    Dialogue

In the room, click the pile of books at the foot of the bed. The book goes into your usable items: double-click it and go to the last page. It tells of Lieutenant Blood Stinger's lookout post, to the south in the cemetery, the crocodyl camp discovered by following the Cracklers mountain, and the lost fight against a huge white crocodyl with red eyes.

    Dialogue

    1. “Go back to Marno Tribun to talk about the book”

  7. 7Reply to Marno Tribun's questions

    Dialogue · Marno Tribun

Marno Tribun checks that you have read the book, with four questions: the location of the lookout post, how the soldiers discovered the crocodyl camp, the origin of Blood Stinger's nickname, and the year of the battle, 3 years before the death of the Lord of Jade. Answer in that order.

    Dialogue

    1. “Suggest the south”
    2. “Think it over and declare that it was by following the Cracklers mountain”
    3. “Reply that Blood Stinger got his nickname from his exceptional mastery of his sword”
    4. “Reply quick as a flash -355”
  8. 8Question Kerub

    Dialogue · Kerub Crepin

Two tasks remain, in the order of your choice; the one suggested here is the shortest. At his home, Kerub once owned the sword, but got rid of it because it was unstable: he left it in Lieutenant Blood Stinger's grave. You'll go and get it a little later.

    Dialogue

    1. “Ask him if he has ever heard of Blood Stinger's sword”

    Combat · Blood Stinger's Sword

Click the grave of Lieutenant Blood Stinger, the middle one, with flowers, then talk to Blood Stinger's Sword to try to seize it. It defends itself: a fight starts, which can be done in a group. After the victory, you have the dirt from that time and the magic object.

    · Chronomagic Expert

At the Astrub zaap, give the dirt and the sword to the Chronomagic Expert and tell him the date when the white crocodyl lived. The attempt seems to fail: you stay in front of the zaap. Talk to him again: the anomaly rejected you, he concentrates and tries again, and this time you are teleported into the anomaly.

  12. 12Find Crokalcrolak in the anomaly

    Dialogue · Crokalcrolak

Go to the map to the left and talk to Crokalcrolak: different to the crocodyls of Astrub, he wants to find fellow crocodyls on Crocuzko. Suddenly, a Disciple of the Flesh Eater appears.

    Dialogue

    1. “Try to get rid of the Crocodyls”

  13. 13Defeat the Crocodyls

    Combat

The fight can be done in a group, with Crokalcrolak as an ally. It follows the Lunar Cycle principle, explained on the Turtelonia's Sanctuary page. The crocodyls pull you in from 5 cells, poison you in Water depending on the AP and MP you use, place cross-shaped traps that push back, and hit in Earth with life steal and in Fire in melee.

The petrifying poison hits for 300 to 1000 in Water at the end of your turn, depending on the number of AP and MP used, for 2 turns.

  14. 14Help a friend (optional)

    Dialogue · Paranoid Astrubian

After finishing the quest, you can help a friend in this fight. Talk to the paranoid Astrubian near the Astrub zaap, offering him a thousand kamas, then click the zaap to join the invisible anomaly. An Invisible Pickpocket may appear behind him: talk to it and choose “Give the Sram a look heavy with reproach” to recover part of the kamas he stole.

    Dialogue

    1. “Ask if you can borrow his glasses”
    2. “Offer him a thousand kamas to take a simple look”
  15. 15Talk to Crokalcrolak again

    Dialogue · Crokalcrolak

Crokalcrolak is doing fine and is still motivated to reach Crocuzko. He suggests you act as his bodyguard on the island, in case other aggressive creatures are there.

  16. 16Talk to the Chronomagic Expert

    Dialogue · Chronomagic Expert

Go to the map to the right. Since there is a zaap on Crocuzko, the Chronomagic Expert should be able to link it to the current network thanks to this anomaly. The quest ends: as you continue the dialogue, you are teleported to Crocuzko.
