What to prepare

Plan for six dungeons of level 200, one per totem, chosen from a list of 4 or 5 bosses. The totems drop automatically from the boss.

The 8 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Maimane

   Dialogue[2,4] · Maimane

   Octolliard's protector calmed the war between Bonta and Brakmar by sealing emotions in statuettes buried in the four corners of the World of Twelve. You need a more complete symbol: a totem of balance. To get one, you must steal six emotions, in the form of totems, from the most fearsome bosses in the World of Twelve.

2. 2Obtain the Totem of Joy

   Items

   Defeat one of these bosses in its dungeon: Klime, Merkator, King Imagami, King Nidas or Servitude. The totem drops automatically.

   Items

   Defeat one of these bosses in its dungeon: Captain Meno, Queen Amirukam, Sylargh, Turtelonia or Vortex.

   Defeat one of these bosses in its dungeon: Bethel Akarna, Corruption, Dantinea, Nileza or Protoz'orror.

8. 8Entrust the six totems to Maimane

   Items[2,4] · Maimane

   Go back to the Destroyers' Nightmare. During the ritual, the opposing totems disintegrate two by two. Maimane places the tip of a knife in your palm and lets go: it stays balanced without hurting you. You are able to use the Totem of Balance, which she hands to you. The quest ends.

Where does the Maimane's Totems quest start?

With Maimane, in the Destroyers' Nightmare at [2,4]. You must have progressed through A Tormented Heritage to the point of crafting the Harmony rune.

How do you get the totems?

By defeating a boss of your choice in its dungeon, for each totem. The totem drops automatically: there are 4 or 5 possible bosses per totem.

By continuing the quest A Tormented Heritage. Maimane gives it to you at the end of the quest.
