What to prepare

Plan for two solo fights and one dimension dungeon, whose boss depends on your level.

The 13 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Nova

   Dialogue[-25,-36] · Nova

   In the Treasure Chest, Nova explains that to her, treasure hunters are archaeologists. She has lost contact with her friend Vardo and asks you to find out what happened to him.

   

2. 2Question Toni Rubbinson

   Dialogue[21,13] · Toni Rubbinson

   Toni Rubbinson is in the Sufokian Excavations of the abyssal base, whose entrance is at [22,22]. Tell him you are looking for Vardo: he worked for her, but dropped her to pursue his own research.

3. 3Search Vardo's workshop

   [21,14]

   Go down to the lower floor and click on the wooden crate in the middle of the room. Read the Page from Arthur's Journal: he went to the tavern and made a deal with a pirate.

4. 4Make Captain Wugposh talk

   [12,24] · Captain Wugposh

   Go to the Ripate tavern, then backtrack: at [11,24], click the barrel to take a Bucket of Sea Water. Go back to the tavern and give the sea water to Captain Wugposh to make him talk. Vardo struck a deal with the Hyperscamp, and Mary Reankle, who dealt with it, knows more.

5. 5Defeat the smugglers

   Combat[7,22]

   Mary Reankle's crew is on the Sufokian Shoreline. Talk to one of the three bootleggers to attack them: the fight is solo. You get a Bootlegger Scarf. The spells you will face are detailed in the FAQ.

   The crew can change position depending on the time: if it is not at [7,22], look for him along the shore.

6. 6Defeat Mary Reankle

   Combat[7,22]

   Mary Reankle appears on the map and wants to avenge her men. You fight alone, against Mary and Vile Willy. Play at range behind the scenery: she never attacks without line of sight. The fight is long, because she is only vulnerable one turn out of five, unless you kill her bag before it explodes.

7. 7Question Mary Reankle

   Dialogue[7,22] · Mary Reankle

   Talk to Mary Reankle again and tell her you are looking for Arthur Coward. She handled the sale, by the Hyperscamp, of a map with coordinates. She reveals them in exchange for a diamond for one of her clients.

8. 8Obtain the Dimensional Diamond

   Items

   The Dimensional Diamond drops from the dimension boss of your level bracket, also shown in your quest log: Brutatax from 100 to 114 (Brutatax's Factory), Fraktal from 115 to 139 (Fraktal's Megalith), Drhossil from 140 to 164 (Drhossil's Caves), XLII from 165 to 189 (XLII's Metronomicon) and Toxoliath from 190 to 200 (Toxoliath's Cave).

9. 9Give the diamond to Mary Reankle

   Items[7,22] · Mary Reankle

   Give the diamond to Mary as agreed. She hands you a scroll with the coordinates of an underwater location.

10. 10Convince Erika Barley

    Dialogue[22,19] · Erika Barley

    Erika Barley drives the steamer submarine. Take the path through the Merkator's underground, then turn left as soon as possible, toward the temple. Ask her to take you to the coordinates: she refuses, then agrees, thinking she is responsible for Vardo's disappearance, since she had refused to help him.

    

11. 11Find Arthur Coward

    [25,28] · Arthur Coward

    In the cave, click the glowing spot on the wall to open the stone door, go through it and cross a room. Vardo was imprisoned by the Ancient Explorer, whose real name is Echo and who leads a mysterious guild. He becomes your follower character.

12. 12Bring Vardo back to Sufokia

    Items[22,19] · Arthur Coward

    Lead Vardo to the submarine and talk to Erika to return to the surface. Talk to Vardo again: he gives you a letter to reassure Nova.

13. 13Give the letter to Nova

    Go back to the Treasure Chest to share the good news with Nova and give her the letter. The quest ends.
