The 15 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Grougalorasalar

   Dialogue[-82,6] · Grougalorasalar

   The quest starts in the cavern, following the previous one. You accept the deal offered by the black dragon and set off in search of the voice you just heard.

   

2. 2Wake Crocahualpa's ghost

   [-82,6] · Crocahualpa

   Go back to the first map of the temple, where the Crocodyls no longer attack, go left and click on the sarcophagus. The ghost of Crocahualpa, the last emperor of the Crocodyls, nicknamed the Jade Bleeder, appears. A spirit took possession of his body and left it when Ratathrosk defeated him in Astrub: in exchange for your help in taking revenge, he will reveal to you how to reincarnate Crocoburio.

3. 3Talk to Encantu

   Dialogue[-82,6] · Encantu

   From this map, go right, up and then up again. The spirit resurfaced on the side of the Crocodyl area: Encantu entrusts you with a Banishment Urn to imprison its soul.

5. 5Buy the Paztek dictionary

   Items[7,-19] · Aisling

   At the Astrub library, buy the Paztek-Twelvian Dictionary from Aisling for 500 kamas, then consult it: it lets you translate what Talok says and reply to him.

   Don't pick the wrong book: make sure to take the dictionary.

6. 6Reply to Talok

   Talok says to you, worried: “You be mad adventurer. Don't come near!”. Reply to him Hi in his language. He crossed paths with a mad adventurer who was slaughtering everyone east of the swamps.

   If you answer wrong, Talok disappears and comes back 5 to 10 minutes later.

7. 7Look for tracks near the marsh gate

   Movement[-6,3]

   From Meriana's place, the path is: down, right, down, down, left, down, left, down, down, right. Click on the stone at the bottom of the map: you can see traces of blood and tufts of red hair. You also find a Brakmar coin there, which earns you 1 kama.

   

8. 8Pay Boud Chair

   Items[-22,37] · Boud Chair

   At the Brakmar hunters' workshop, ask Boud Chair whether he has seen a bloodthirsty adventurer. You need to bribe him: for 20,000 kamas, he tells you that an Iop asked him for buckets of blood to drink, then went mad when the militia arrived. Knocked out by the butcher, the Iop was arrested and taken to the Tower of Gisgoul.

9. 9Question the Priestess of Rushu

   Dialogue[-16,17] · Priestess of Rushu

   In the Tower of Gisgoul, go right behind the statue and climb the stairs twice. Stand on the magic circle on the floor to be teleported. The Priestess of Rushu survived the scarlet demon's massacre, most likely the mad Iop, thanks to shushus in Rushu's pay, who are now after her.

   

10. 10Defeat the shushus

    Combat[-24,-4] · Shushuaia

    Offer Shushuaia your help to defeat the scarlet demon. The shushus refuse: you have to fight them to prove your strength.

    The fight is solo against the three shushus, who hit fairly hard.

11. 11Talk to Shuchu

    After the fight, Shuchu tells you that the demon is called Bulak and should have returned to the Shustuft Crust long ago. Rushu, the king of the wicked, is trying to get his hands on him.

12. 12Defeat Bulak

    Combat[-36,-10] · Feverish Iop

    In Cania Bay, talk to the Feverish Iop, who doesn't seem to be in his normal state: he transforms into Bulak'Shub'Tan. Talk to the demon to attack him; the fight is solo.

    Bulak is invulnerable at range. Moving him lifts this invulnerability for 3 turns, but teleports you to his melee range: put yourself in the Gravity state before pushing him.

13. 13Return the urn to Encantu

    [-82,6] · Encantu

    Go back to the temple: at [-6,3], take the portal, then go right to talk again to the Yerg Guide. Head to the temple; the Crocodyls no longer attack, but an attack is still possible in the jungle. Announce your success to Encantu and hand him the urn, which holds the demon's soul.

14. 14Go back to see Crocahualpa

    Go back 2 maps and head left. Tell Crocahualpa that Bulak is defeated: Crocabulia laid one last egg a few years ago, meant to house the soul of Crocoburio, under the guard of an Osamodas disciple.
