Only one resource to gather, 5 Carbon Paper to trace the walls of the Calliglyph cave. Also plan for four fights, including a wave fight where you have to hold out for 10 turns.

The 20 quest steps

1. 1Talk to the Tipsy Priestess

   Dialogue[23,-32] · Tipsy Priestess

   At the Forbidden Inn counter, the Tipsy Priestess tells you about a monk, Zangzang, who claims to hear the goddess talking to him about Pandalucia. Nobody believes him: only the Grandapan hears the goddess, and Pandalucia is thought to be a utopia.

   Access to the forbidden tavern requires having advanced Hand in Hand until you obtain a metal beer tankard.

   

2. 2Meet Zangzang

   Dialogue[23,-30] · Zangzang

   Go out into the tavern garden. Zangzang hears the goddess's voice and sees Pandalucia in a dream: it existed, but its people forgot how to get there. He asks you to help him find the way back.

3. 3Find a mount for Zangzang

   Movement[18,-29] · Dragoturkey Breeder

   The Dragoturkey Breeder first tries to palm off a tired dragoturkey on you, then, seeing you know your stuff, sells you a sturdy mount: Wanglong, who follows you.

   If you lose the dragoturkey as a follower character, go back to see the breeder to get it back.

   

4. 4Entrust Wanglong to Zangzang

   Items[23,-29] · Zangzang

   Join Zangzang to entrust the mount to him. Now you are ready to explore the ruined temple of Plantala.

   

5. 5Search the ruined temple

   [25,-34] · Zangzang

   Enter the temple and click on the worn sign on the left, covered in strange inscriptions. Show it to Zangzang: it's Pandalan, but he only knows a few words. It mentions the royal family and a goddess.

6. 6Have the sign translated

   [23,-32] · Shufamukin

   Go to the calligraphy workshop of the Forbidden Inn: right at the entrance, the room on the right. Shufamukin gives you a history lesson on the language of the Pandawas, then translates the sign: the royal family makes sure that the immortal serves his sentence for eternity. Someone dangerous is locked up in the temple.

7. 7Follow Zangzang under the temple

   Movement[25,-34] · Wanglong

   Hurry back to the temple: Zangzang is no longer there. Wanglong points you to a trapdoor. Click on the trapdoor behind the sign to go to his rescue.

8. 8Neutralize Shun Gokong

   Combat[25,-34]

   Zangzang has freed the prisoner. Explain to him that it's a legendary Kozaru, “The Immortal”, who must be fought to lock him up again. The fight is solo, with Zangzang.

9. 9Listen to the goddess

   Dialogue[25,-34] · Zangzang

   Talk to Shun Gokong, who refuses to say why he was locked up, then to Zangzang: the goddess speaks through him. She confirms his story and promises Shun freedom if he helps you. Talk to Shun again, who agrees to act as a bodyguard, then twice to Zangzang: a statue is said to depict Ginju, queen of Pandalucia, and the Grand Puddah is said to protect this land.

10. 10Investigate the Grand Puddah

    [23,-35] · Idle Worker

    At the construction site of the Grand Puddah statue, the Idle Worker advises you to question Zhuba Jin, who went to Akwadala to get bamboo milk. Then talk to Shun Gokong: he knew the Pandawa of the statue, a simple mountain monk.

    

11. 11Save the Pandalan Porco

    Dialogue[19,-23] · Pandalan Porco

    A Pandalan Porco is threatened by Kwapas. A fight starts, which can be done with several players. The Kwapas' spells are on the page for the Valley of the Lady of the Water dungeon.

12. 12Talk to Zhuba Jin

    Dialogue[19,-23] · Zhuba Jin

    The Porcos is none other than Zhuba Jin: the Kwapas forced him to drink the water from the spring. Talk to Zangzang, who hopes to find a cure in Pandalucia, then listen to Zhuba. He joins you and tells of a cave of Calliglyphs, marked with the lotus flower of the Great Puddah, but guarded by a monster.

13. 13Defeat the guardian of the cave

    Combat[23,-25] · Wujinsha

    In Terrdala, enter the Calliglyph cave and talk to Wujinsha, who asks you to leave. The fight is solo, with Shun Gokong.

14. 14Trace the Calliglyphs

    [23,-25]

    Talk to Wujinsha, then to Zangzang, then listen to Wujinsha: this Yokai means no harm to anyone. Shun Gokong recognizes an incomplete character, “gate”. Click on each of the 5 wall sections bearing Calliglyphs to take an impression, using your Carbon Paper.

15. 15Check in with Wujinsha

    [23,-25] · Wujinsha

    Hand the tracings to Wujinsha. With Shun, he translates: “The gates of Padambhalla will open to the dreamers who can wield the sacred words, where Wukin and Wukang are intertwined”. Talk to Zangzang, then listen to Wujinsha: this place is the dimension of the Pandala dragon. He joins you.

16. 16Access the Kingdom of Paper

    Dialogue

    Two entrances: the Wukang sanctuary at [15,-31], by entering the cave then going right, or the Wukin sanctuary at [20,-38], via the Highland Kwak. The first time, talk to Daoh in the temple and answer his two questions to get the Iroru Symbol, then leave the temple. To come back to Pandala, ask Daoh for it again in a sanctuary.

17. 17Protect Zangzang during the sutra

    Combat[2,-1] · Guardian Mabram

    In the Kingdom of Paper, talk to Zangzang: he recognizes the lotus flower and recites the words from the cave. A rift opens and Yokianzhi come out of it. Talk to the Guardian Mabram, who is trying to close the rift: a wave fight starts, solo with Wujinsha, Zhuba Jin, Zangzang and Shun Gokong. You just need to survive 10 full turns.

    If Zangzang dies, the fight is lost. He is the one who, on his turn 10, eliminates all the remaining monsters. He moves away on his own: get into melee with your other companions, who can die, to keep the monsters on you. If you kill monsters, aim for the Tsunam, who eventually go for Zangzang.

18. 18Enter the gates of Padambhalla

    Dialogue · Puddah

    A passage opens: talk to the Gates of Padambhalla to go through them. In the dream of Pandalucia, talk to Puddah. He rejects the title of “grand”, but your arrival broke the seal that kept Padambhalla in oblivion. Before closing the gates, he offers each of you the choice to stay or leave.

19. 19Say your goodbyes

    Listen to Zhuba Jin, then talk to Wujinsha, Shun Gokong and Wanglong: they all stay in Pandalucia. Talk to Zangzang last of all. He stays too, and entrusts you with his account of the journey for the Daimya.

20. 20Hand the book over to Daimya Hikomi

    Items[22,-29] · Daimya Hikomi

    At the bamboo palace, tell Daimya Hikomi about your journey and hand over Zangzang's manuscript. He confirms that his ancestor Ginju and Pandalucia existed: she will make it a national treasure. The quest ends.

With the Tipsy Priestess, at the Forbidden Inn counter at [23,-32]. You must be level 180, have completed Pandala Awakens and progressed Hand in Hand up to the metal beer mug.
