Quests linked to the Crunchery
Two Fleaster quests are completed on the Crunchler, in the same run. Accept them before entering, and don't leave the dungeon right after the boss if Chocomagic vs Chocomancy is in progress.
Between levels 110 and 179, the dungeon step is played here. On Kadillak's trail, beat the Crunchler, then find the Fleaster Steward again before leaving, otherwise you'll have to redo the dungeon.

The 5 rooms of the Crunchery
Five fights. The first four rooms have no obstacles, the fifth has 38. Everywhere, hitting a monster can make Crunchy Nuggets appear: the mechanic is detailed in the boss section. For each room: the scenery, then the tactical view with the starting cells (blue: you, red: the monsters). Tap an image to enlarge it.

Beat the Crunchler
A Nugget won't wait for you
A Crunchler Nugget that isn't destroyed in time disappears, and the phase has to be redone: one turn for the first one, 2 turns for the following ones, counting from the character who made it appear. Have it summoned by the character who plays right after the boss.
Level 130

- Resistances (%)
Earth 0%
Fire 0%
Water 0%
Air 0%
Neutral 0%
Invulnerable throughout the fight, it falls when its fourth Nugget is destroyed. Its spells change element and effect each phase: Fire, Air, Water, then Earth. Its resistances are all at 0%, but its Nuggets resist at range; 2 MP and a not very aggressive AI.
Foodie AttractionIn a line up to 8 RNG: pulls and adds a penalty specific to the phase. Get out of its lines, especially in the Air phase.
Total ImpwaktAt only 2 RNG, in an area: stay away from the boss, especially in the Water and Earth phases, where it pushes back and removes MP.
CruncholyCast from 3 to 9 RNG, it changes effect each phase: Weakened, poison on AP, AP removal, then erosion.
The four-step strategy against the Crunchler
The monsters first. Kill the five monsters and save the Crunchler for last. Kill the Crunchy Nuggets before a monster eats them; incidentally, their death gives a bonus to your characters in contact with them.
First Nugget: Fire. The character who plays right after the boss hits it in Fire, then pushes it: the Nugget appears. Invulnerable at Range, it must die in melee, in a single turn, before the Crunchler plays again.
Air, then Water. Same method in Air, then in Water. You now have 2 turns per Nugget, which resists less at range but has more HP. In the Air phase, Foodie Attraction halves your melee damage: watch out for its lines.
Earth or Neutral, and the finish. Hit it in Earth or Neutral, push it and destroy the last Nugget, the one that resists range the least: the Crunchler collapses immediately, and the fight is won.
The Crunchler's four Nuggets
Each phase follows the same pattern: when hit in the phase's element, the Crunchler takes on a state for one turn (Melted in Fire, Blown in Air, Washed in Water, Broken in Earth or Neutral); pushed during that state, it summons its Nugget, 2 cells away from it. Each destroyed Nugget removes 25% of its HP and one of its four states.
First Nugget: invulnerable at range, 25% of the boss's max HP. Second: 70% resistance at range, 35% of HP. Third: 40% and 45%. Last: 10% and 55%. Each loses 10% in its phase's element. Each push that summons gives the boss 1 AP and 1 MP, and removes 20 power from it.
The Crunchy Nuggets
Hitting a monster sometimes makes it summon one or more Crunchy Nuggets, at random: 200 HP, 10% resistances, immobile, 2 cells from the monster, on the top cell or the next one clockwise. When they die, your characters in contact with them gain 50 power and 210 shield for 2 turns.
A monster in contact with them can also eat them with Cannicrunchibalism: it gains 1 AP, heals, and receives a stackable bonus. Invisibility for the Chocosnailmet, shield and lock for the Marshmallow Bearbarian, one extra Polka Dot Shower cast for the Yazkooalak, 3 RNG for the Kwakao, power and 1 MP for the Chocopingwin.
Its spells, phase by phase
Cruncholy hits at range: Weakened in the Fire phase, poison on AP used in Air, removal of 2 AP in Water, erosion in Earth. Total Impwakt, at 2 RNG, minimises your rolls, then makes you Unhealable, then pushes away 2 cells and removes 2 MP, and finally pushes away 4 cells and removes 4 MP.
Foodie Attraction pulls in a line up to 8 RNG: by 3 cells with a flight penalty, then by 2 cells with -50% melee damage, then by one cell with -4 RNG and Gravity, and finally by one cell with the Unmovable state.
The monsters of the Crunchery
Five Chocrunchers of level 122, not very dangerous but each strengthened if it eats a Crunchy Nugget. Kill the Nuggets before the monsters when they are within reach. The resistances in red are their weaknesses.

Preparing your run through the Crunchery
A level 120 to 130 dungeon, rated very hard, but not very dangerous once understood: the Crunchler is fought in stages, not with blows of damage. You come here for the Fleaster quests, the achievements and the Crunchler Heart.
How to enter the Crunchery
The entrance is on Fleaster Island, at ; the nearest zaap is the Way of Souls one . There are three ways to open it: a Crunchery Key (consumed), the key ring if it is registered there, or the automatic group search.
Crafting the Crunchery Key
It is crafted at a handyman's. Four ingredients drop from the dungeon's Chocrunchers, at 29%: Kwakao Beak, Chocosnailmet Coating, Chocolate Fur and Chocopingwin Stomach, like the Marbled Meat. Blue Ray (fishing), Pandkin Seed and Malt (harvesting) complete the recipe.

Which team to bring against the Crunchler
Melee hitters. All of the Crunchler's Nuggets resist at range, and the first one is invulnerable to it. Characters used to melee destroy them much faster.
The elements of the four phases. You have to hit the Crunchler in Fire, in Air, in Water, then in Earth or Neutral. Spread these elements across the team, with at least one character able to push.
The right initiative order. The character who triggers each Nugget must play right after the Crunchler, with the phase's element and a push: that's what gives you the most time to destroy it.
The six achievements of the Crunchery
Each achievement gives 14,262,000 XP and 2 Crunchler Heart, and Duo doubles the XP. Keep Moving! and the Special one are played without any particular difficulty; Chrono requires at least 4 turns for the Crunchler alone.
| Achievements | Condition | Points | XP |

| Crunchler (Blitzkrieg) | Defeat the Crunchler in its dungeon by completing the “Blitzkrieg” challenge. | 10 | 14 262 000 |
| Crunchler (Special) | Defeat the Crunchler in its dungeon by completing the “I'm Coming, Crunchies!” challenge. | 10 | 14 262 000 |
| Crunchler (Chrono) | Defeat the Crunchler in its dungeon by completing the “Chrono” challenge. | 10 | 14 262 000 |
| Crunchery | Defeat the Crunchler in this boss's dungeon. | 10 | 14 262 000 |
| Crunchler (Keep Moving!) | Defeat the Crunchler in its dungeon by completing the “Keep Moving!” challenge. | 10 | 14 262 000 |
| Crunchler (Duo) | Defeat the Crunchler in its dungeon by completing the “Duo” challenge. | 20 | 28 524 000 |
Chrono
Defeat all the monsters in fewer than 9 turns. Kill the five monsters quickly: the Crunchler requires at least 4 turns, since two phases can't be chained in the same turn. That leaves 4 turns at most for its five henchmen.
Keep Moving!
Do not attempt to reduce your enemies' MP for the duration of the combat. No difficulty: don't remove any MP. Neither the monsters nor the boss are dangerous enough for it to be useful.
Blitzkrieg
Every enemy attacked must die before its next turn. Kill the monsters first, one by one. On the boss, it's enough that each Nugget you've started on dies before its turn: make it appear with the character who plays right after the Crunchler.
Special: I'm Coming, Crunchies!
Enemies must not suffer any attempted ranged damage. Hit everything in melee, Nuggets included, which costs nothing since they resist at range. Even invulnerable, the Crunchler must be hit in melee to receive its states. Beware of areas: a Crunchy Nugget that appears 2 cells from a monster must not be hit by mistake, and the boss's Cruncholy and Total Impwakt can hit its own allies.
Duo
Two characters maximum, fewer than 20 turns. Any composition works: the fight stays simple if you master the four phases. Cover Fire, Air, Water and Earth between the two of you, with a push, and finish before the end of turn 19.
