Level 200 quest in the Destroyers' Nightmare, with Somniak at [2,0]: understand why this Amakna Goblin ends up there every time he sleeps, then save his camp from the Bwarioch. All the steps, the dialogue choices and the three fights.
What to prepare
Nothing to buy: plan for one fight doable in a group and two solo fights. The Demonic Nightmare Catcher, handed over during the quest, is equipped in place of your weapon.
The 16 quest steps
-
1Talk to Somniak
Dialogue · Somniak
The quest starts in the Destroyers' Nightmare, with Somniak. Every time he falls asleep in the Amakna goblins' camp, he ends up here without understanding why. Help him find the reason, so that it stops.
-
2Question Captain Gobvious
Dialogue · Captain Gobvious
On the same map, talk to the Brakmarian goblin chief. His goblins are part of the nightmare: they still think they are at war with King Jonus's Bonta. He offers you to join his army: several answers can work, the last one below is the safest. Somniak has disappeared in the meantime: he has surely woken up.
Dialogue
- “Get his attention”
- “Greet him and ask why his little troop is here”
- “Reply that you have something else to do for now”
A Brakmarian can also admit that he is already in Oto Mustam's militia. The second option reserved for Bontarians may not work.
-
3Defend Somniak against the Bworks
Combat
Find Somniak in the goblin camp, attacked by Bworks. A fight starts, and it can be done with several players. Somniak fights at your side: he must not die, otherwise the fight is lost.
Fight spells: Hand at the Tiller (effect that triggers in 3 turns then every 3 turns: removes 8 MP and 15 AP for 1 turn, but reduces damage taken by 20% for 1 turn); Helping Hand (cast from the start on your characters: at the start of their turn, they heal and give shield to their allies in a circle of radius 2); Em'tee Stare (280 Fire, -3 AP for 1 turn, from 2 to 7 range); Sleepy Timez (poison from 22 to 26 Earth and -2 MP for 2 turns, from 2 to 12 range); Pollifaze (teleports symmetrically to the target, 200 Air and shield gain, up to 2 range); Serial Lightnings (240 Fire in a circle of radius 2, from 3 to 6 range); Summoning of Evil Tofu (cooldown of 6 turns); Tornado (200 Air and pushes back 3 cells, in melee); Thrown Weapon Mastery (+60 damage for 3 turns); Finding Arrow (450 Air, up to 8 range); Bwerserk (final damage +10, 15, 30, 60 then 80% over the turns); Puff (pushes back characters around the targeted cell by 1 cell, from 2 to 8 range); Rupture (500 Earth, up to 2 range).

4Return to the nightmare
Movement · Somniak
Somniak thanks you: the Bworks' attacks keep him from sleeping. The Brakmarian goblin in his nightmare doesn't like them either: advise him to go back to sleep to seek his help, and join him. Two possible answers: drinking the vial teleports you to the Destroyers' Nightmare with the Asleep curse (-25% spell and weapon damage and -500 initiative for 2 fights); the other gives no penalty, but you go back there by yourself.
Dialogue
- “Swipe the vial once the goblin is asleep and drink the rest of the mixture, hoping not to poison yourself”
- “Return to the nightmare by your own means”
-
5Pacify Captain Gobvious
Dialogue · Captain Gobvious
In the Destroyers' Nightmare, the captain is struggling to lead his troops. He received the order from the city to attack Bonta, but his troops no longer listen to him since then.
Dialogue
- “Try to calm him down without resorting to violence, for once”
-
6Question the Brakmarian Messenger
Dialogue · Brakmarian Courier
The messenger stays silent, but you notice a rune on his breastplate.
Dialogue
- “Ask what the message he gave the Goblins was about”
-
7Show the rune to Futhark the Runimancer
Items · Futhark the Runimancer
Futhark explains that this rune is used to create illusions, and that Whisperers often use it. The messenger is probably not who he claims to be.
Dialogue
- “Describe the shimmering rune you saw on the Brakmarian messenger's breastplate”
-
8Unmask the messenger
Dialogue · Brakmarian Courier
Go back to and talk to the Brakmarian Messenger again. The impostor disappears before you can stop him.
Dialogue
- “Whisper that you've figured out who he is”
-
9Warn Captain Gobvious
Dialogue · Captain Gobvious
Reveal the deception to the captain: impossible, he misunderstands everything.
Dialogue
- “Reveal to him that he has been deceived”
-
10Explain the situation to Somniak
· Somniak
Tell Somniak what you discovered, including the Whisperer who sowed discord among the Brakmarian goblins. He hears drums coming from outside the nightmare and disappears: focus on the sound of the drums to follow him. You are teleported to the goblin camp.

13Talk to Gob'Li'Terate the Destroyed
Dialogue · Gob'Li'Terate the Destroyed
On the Atoll of the Possessed, Gob'Li'Terr knows that his native village is under threat. Gruu'z's delay comes from a food poisoning he caused, and he is the one who gave the goblins their nightmares, to sow discord among the Bwarioch, without success. One last idea: capture Captain Gobvious and bring him before the Bwarioch, because nightmares have a strong influence on demons. He gives you a Demonic Nightmare Catcher.
