The 4 quest steps

  1. 1Take the wanted notice

    Dialogue

Dive into the pool at : you arrive on the first map of the Depths of Sufokia, where 3 signs show the wanted monsters in the area. Click on the sign at the bottom left, the one showing Takomako.

    Dialogue

    1. “Head out questing for Takomako”
  2. 2Reach the Rygurgal Abyss

    Movement

Takomako always appears in the Rygurgal Abyss, one of the three deepest areas of the Depths of Sufokia. Two paths lead there, both requiring Exploration equipment. The shortest: at , enter the cave, which leads directly to the area. For this you need 1 Snedon Statuette.

Takomako is not always present: once defeated, he disappears from the area for several hours. If a group defeats him without anyone obtaining him as a follower (nobody has started the quest, or everyone has already completed it), he immediately reappears.

  3. 3Defeat Takomako

    Combat

Takomako is not invulnerable by default, but he becomes so for 1 turn if none of your characters is within a radius of 5 around him at the start of his turn. He also gains 1 MP at the start of each turn, and his strike spell hits harder the more MP he has left. Every monster that accompanies him weakens him: the Ad Hoc Allies state removes 2,000 Vitality and 50 Power (general damage) from him per monster present with him.

His strikes give you MADNESS! states: at Madness 10, your character dies.

  4. 4Deliver Takomako to Walter Worde

    Items · Walter Worde

After the victory, Takomako follows you as a follower, provided you have started the quest. Go back to the entrance of the Depths of Sufokia, before the pool, and go left to enter the prison. Talk to Walter Worde: Takomako leaves your group and the quest ends. He then appears under a glass dome, with the other wanted monsters you have captured.

The fights

Takomako

Takomako

Level 200

In the Rygurgal Abyss: 29,000 HP, 20 AP and 5 MP. Resistances: 20% Neutral, 10% Earth, 35% Fire, 25% Water and 5% Air. Each turn, he can make two of your characters Pacifist and Unhealable. As in the area's dungeon, the monsters and Takomako raise your MADNESS! states, from 1 to 10, shown above the character.

  • Ad Hoc Allies

State shared by all wanted targets: 2,000 less Vitality and 50 less Power, with no duration limit, for each monster with him. Alone, he has no penalty.

  • Halfocto Halfshark

Cast from the start of the fight, with no time limit. If none of your characters is within a radius of 5 around him at the start of his turn, he becomes Invulnerable for 1 turn. At the start of each turn, he gains 1 MP, with no time limit and up to 10 times: his size increases each time.

  • Titfortako

Strikes for up to 2,000 Neutral damage depending on the MP he has left compared to the start of his turn: the more he has kept, the harder he hits. Example: with 5 MP at the start of the turn, if he uses 3 to reach you, the damage drops by 60%. Adds a MADNESS! state. Up to 10 range, without line of sight, once per target.

  • Makomak

Applies the Pacifist and Unhealable states for 1 turn. In line only, up to 10 range, twice per turn and once per target.

  • MADNESS!

Madness 2: you inflict 100% of your spells' damage on your allies in a zone of 2 range around you. Madness 4: healing received reduced by 50%. Madness 6: damage taken increased by 100%. Madness 10: death. The penalties stack from one tier to the next. You gain 1 Madness state if Takomako hits you with Titfortako, if the Flauticultist hits you with Crazy Cacophony, the Diepwon with Corrosive Sphere or the Skt-Zo with Morbidrain, if the N'yalgy's Burrowing pulls you, and every time your double summoned by Dementriangle or Horrifying Eye plays its turn. You lose 1 at the start of each of your turns: hide a character who is too affected for a few turns.

  • Tip: stay at 5 range

Always keep a character within a radius of 5 around him at the start of his turn, so he stays vulnerable. Favor a tank character or one who doesn't strike.

  • Tip: kill him fast

He gains 1 MP per turn, up to 10, and Titfortako hits harder the more MP he keeps: eliminate him before he gets too strong. Forcing him to use his MP before striking remains difficult, since Titfortako reaches 10 range without line of sight.

  • Tip: MP removal at 0 range

Spells that remove all his MP at once, like the Enutrof's Pull Out or the Iop's Duel, even stop him from casting Titfortako. The spell must put his MP into the negative (-100 MP), because he gains 1 MP at the start of his turn.

  • Tip: summons

Takomako prefers to hit non-static summons that he can kill rather than your characters. Unless one of your characters is low on HP or has little Neutral resistance: he will target them first.

  • Tip: out of his line of sight

Makomak is cast in line and with line of sight: stay far from him or behind obstacles to avoid the Pacifist state, while keeping a character at 5 range. The longer the fight lasts, the harder it gets, because he gains 1 MP per turn.
