Defeat Ougaa

Fungal Ove's heal

From turn 2, Fungal Ove gives it a random effect for one turn: it fully heals if it takes damage, an AP removal or an MP removal, depending on the draw. The damage preview shows whether your action heals it: check it before each attack, or dispel it.

The four-step strategy against Ougaa

Turn 1: buff everything. If you can kill it as early as turn 1, simply hit as hard as possible. Otherwise, buff yourselves to the maximum and position yourselves: in most cases, Ougaa falls on turn 2.

Turn 2: dispel. A character who dispels, and who has initiative, removes Fungal Ove at the start of turn 2, before the team hits. They also remove Weirdness's power boosts at the same time.

Turn 2: everything on Ougaa. The whole team hits Ougaa until it dies. Kill it before its summons pile up: it adds one per turn, drawn from the temple's mushrooms.

Finish off the monsters. With Ougaa dead, all that is left is to finish the monsters calmly. Start with the Mush Tup and its resistance penalty, and never let the Mushmunch stay in contact.

Ougaa's poisons

Obstinacy hits in a cross up to 8 range, removes 20% Air resistance for 4 turns and applies an Air life-steal poison. Sirop Spore, from turn 3, poisons for 4 turns and hits for each AP you spend. The monsters' poisons add up fast: this is what makes a long fight dangerous.

Weirdness makes its target gain power for each damage taken, and much more for the monsters in a cross around it, up to five times, for 2 turns. A dispel solves both problems: these boosts and Fungal Ove.

The split team

In room 3, split the team between the two doors: at least two characters per door, and no more than four, since the next two fights are played with four at most. Each group arrives in a slab room closed by a gate.

You need one character on each of the four slabs: the two characters in a room open the other group's gate. Be careful not to open only one gate and watch your allies leave without having opened yours. Each group then chains two fights in parallel.

The monsters of the Temple of the Great Ougaa

Six level-172 mushrooms with 4,300 HP, each very weak (-37%) to one element, plus the summoned Exploding Spimush and the little Mush Mush. Poisons and penalties pile up: do not let a fight drag on. The resistances in red are their weaknesses.

In which order to kill the monsters

  1. Mush Tup — it applies 25% weakness to you in all elements up to 8 range.
  2. Mush Rhume — it summons Exploding Spimushes and removes range at 11 range.

Preparing your run through the Temple of the Great Ougaa

A level 170 to 180 dungeon that requires at least four characters and a dispel. People come for the temple's quests, the achievements and Ougaa's soul, useful for the Ochre Dofus, with a Soul Stone for Huge Souls (captures up to level 200).

How to enter the Temple of the Great Ougaa

The entrance is in the Fungus Cavern, in the Sidimote Moors, in ; the nearest zaap is the Desecrated Highlands one . There are three ways to open it: a Temple of the Great Ougaa Key (consumed), the key ring if it is registered on it, or the automatic group search. Come with at least four: it is mandatory to get through room 4.

Crafting the Temple of the Great Ougaa Key

It is crafted at a handyman's workshop. Six ingredients drop from the temple's mushrooms, at 17%: Mushnid Bark, Trumperelle Trumpet, Mushmunch Tongue, Mush Tup's Blade, Mush Rhume Slobber and Spoiled Meat. Mandrake and Tench complete the recipe.

Which team to bring against Ougaa

A dispeller with initiative. They remove Fungal Ove at the start of turn 2, as well as the power boosts. This is the keystone of the strategy: without them, a third of the fights become impossible to focus.

Damage for turn 2. Ougaa has 8,400 HP and must fall fast, before its summons and poisons. Buff yourselves on turn 1 to kill it on turn 2.

Two balanced groups. From room 3, two groups of two to four characters fight on their own: each group must be able to win its two fights alone.

The six achievements of the Temple of the Great Ougaa

Each achievement gives 36,604,000 XP and 2 Ougaa Spine, and Duo doubles the XP; Sidekick gives 54,906,000 XP. Mycology and the Duo are played with the basic strategy, Ougaa first.

Tight

Each ally must end their turn next to another ally. The difficulty comes from Obstinacy, which hits hard in a cross, removes resistances and steals life. Stick to allied summons rather than characters.

Last

Ougaa must be finished off last. Ougaa is very dangerous and summons a monster each turn: kill the monsters very quickly to be able to focus it early. A Pandawa can block it between two monsters to limit its impact.

Special: Mycology

No ally must end their turn in line or diagonal with an enemy. A big positioning constraint: come with four. Kill Ougaa first, because of its summons, then the Mush Rhume and its Exploding Spimushes; the rest becomes simple.

Duo

Two characters maximum, fewer than 15 turns. Reuse the basic strategy, Ougaa first, but count on several turns to kill it with two: keep a dispel for each Fungal Ove.
