1. 1Speak to Ratathrosk

   In the Unforeseen Future of the Vagabond Tree, Ratathrosk goes back to the Great Tree to slow down the corruption. He asks you to check on the state of the Vagabond Tree and the great trees of the World of Twelve, in your present.

2. 2Ask Magus Ax for advice

   Back in the World of Twelve, ask Magus Ax how to reach the Vagabond Tree. You just need to craft a Bivoak Potion to travel to this great kaliptus.

3. 3Craft the Bivoak Potion

   Crafting

   With your Alchemist level 40 minimum profession, craft the Bivoak Potion: 10 Temporal Powder, 20 Kaliptus Flower, 1 Home Potion and 1 Minor Uchronic Elixir. Cooperative crafting is not possible.

4. 4Take a fragment from the Parasitic Bud

   Collect[0,0] · Parasitic Bud

   Use the Bivoak Potion to teleport to the Vagabond Tree of your present. Talk to the Parasitic Bud, which is starting to corrupt the tree, to take a sample.

5. 5Talk to Magus Ax's Astral Form

   Show him the sample: he senses an evil power in it. Only a divine power can undo what has been done: he sends you to ask the god Sadida for help, in the Realm of the Gods.

6. 6Meet the Sadida Priestess

   Dialogue[1,0] · Sadida Priestess

   In your class temple, use the statue to go “To the realm of the gods”. Go down the stairs and talk to the Sadida Priestess, then show her the sample to prove that your request for an audience is serious.

   The Realm of the Gods can only be accessed after completing Anger of the Gods.

7. 7Talk to God Sadida

   Dialogue[1,0] · God Sadida

   Explain to him that Corruption is trying to corrupt the trees. His magic is too close to Sadida's for him to undo it alone: he needs the combined energy of the five Mérydes who share his affinity with nature.

8. 8Question Antyklime Ax

   Dialogue[-4,-24] · Antyklime Ax

   Antyklime Ax gives you clues to find the five Mérydes affiliated with Sadida. Each one expects an offering: gather them before you leave.

9. 9Make the offerings to the five Mérydes

   Visit each Méryde and give it 10 copies of its resource to receive its blessing. The dialogue choice is “Present the offering and ask for its blessing”, except for Grug: “Take a deep breath and give it the offerings, before throwing up in the mud”.

10. 10Receive the Meridiawful idol

    Dialogue[1,0] · God Sadida

    Go back to the Realm of the Gods through the statue in your class temple. God Sadida merges the Mérydes' fragments of power into an idol that repels corruption, but strengthens enemies. He also asks you to check on the Tree Keeholo: he can no longer hear Kimbo's voice.

    With the idol, enemies reduce poison and ranged damage by 80%, deal 100% of their HP in an inverted circle of size 4 when they die, and kill adjacent enemies. Strike in melee, then place all your allies between 2 and 4 range from the monster that is about to die.

11. 11Defeat Kimbo with the idol

    Combat[-54,16]

    Do the Kimbo's Canopy dungeon. In the boss room, use the Meridiawful Idol from your quest inventory to get the alteration, then defeat Kimbo in a single fight. Before leaving, talk to the Parasitic Bud to destroy it with the idol, then talk to Kimbo: a voice had taken control of his body, and the Soft Oak may be in the same state.

    The idol can only be used in the boss room you are about to face.

12. 12Defeat the Soft Oak with the idol

    Combat[-14,-13]

    Do the Soft Oak Clearing dungeon and defeat the Soft Oak with the idol's alteration. Then destroy the Parasitic Bud with the idol and talk to the Soft Oak: he was also under the influence of Corruption, and he fears that Ougaa may become uncontrollable.

13. 13Defeat Ougaa with the idol

    Do the Temple of the Great Ougaa dungeon and defeat Ougaa with the idol's alteration. Before leaving the dungeon, talk to the Parasitic Bud and use the idol to destroy it.

14. 14Return to the Vagabond Tree

    You no longer need a second Bivoak Potion: Magus Ax teleports you straight into the tree. Characters who have already done the quest can also join you there by talking to him.

    A group fight awaits you in the Vagabond Tree: come with company.

15. 15Destroy the last parasitic bud

    [0,0] · Parasitic Bud

    Talk to the Parasitic Bud to use your idol and destroy it. A fight starts against 4 monsters of the corrupted area, as a group. The quest advances for all characters in the fight.

    The fight starts right at the end of the dialogue: get ready before talking to the bud.

16. 16Report to Magus Ax's Astral Form

    Dialogue[0,0] · Magus Ax's Astral Form

    He reminds you that there is still a lot to do to eliminate the threat of the horseman Corruption. The quest ends; talk to him again to start the next one.
