What to prepare

You have to gather 12 Evil Dopple Dolls, one per class Dopple: this is the longest part of the quest. Also complete Pendulum Swinger's Guide before searching for the nightmare, otherwise the Evil Forest step stays blocked.

The 12 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Draconiros

   Dialogue[0,0] · Draconiros

   In the Dreamlands, Draconiros, in his dragon form, tells you that the Horlamare is still alive and has fled. He gives you draconic sand to smother it, and advises you to find a follower of Krunsh, the god of nightmares, to pick up its trail.

2. 2Search for a disciple of Krunsh

3. 3Talk to the Nightmare Hunter and Kry Babby

   Dialogue[6,-21] · Kry Babby

   In the florist's house, the Nightmare Hunter has no time: he has to free young Kry Babby from a nightmare he can't catch. Kry Babby dreams of her Bouftou stuffed toy, which turned nasty after a stay with bandits. To stop having nightmares, she asks you for a brand-new stuffed toy.

   

4. 4Ask Hinss Hairt for a stuffed toy

   At the Trool Fair, ask Hinss Hairt if he has any musical stuffed toys. He only has one and offers you a trade: a collection of 12 evil Dopple dolls.

   

5. 5Collect the 12 Evil Dopple Dolls

   Items

   Each doll drops only from the temple Dopple of its class, for the first 12 classes of the game: Pandawa, Enutrof, Ecaflip, Iop, Osamodas, Eniripsa, Sacrier, Sadida, Feca, Cra, Xelor and Sram.

   The base drop rate is 25%: add prospecting and complete the challenges for their drop bonus. Otherwise, you will have to wait a day before facing the temple Dopple in question again.

6. 6Exchange the dolls for the Singing Stuffed Toy

   Items[-11,-37] · Hinss Hairt

   Go back to the Trool Fair and give the 12 dolls to Hinss Hairt: he hands you a Singing Stuffed Toy in exchange.

7. 7Drive away Kry Babby's nightmare

   Combat[6,-21] · Kry Babby

   Go back to Astrub and give the stuffed toy to Kry Babby. A fight starts against her nightmare: you do it solo, accompanied by the Singing Stuffed Toy.

8. 8Talk to the Nightmare Hunter again

   Tell him that Kry Babby is rid of her nightmare: he can finally help you. He advises you to visit the places where the darkest magic reigns.

9. 9Search for the nightmare in four locations

   Movement

   Visit the four locations in any order you like and, on each map, talk to the Nightmare Hunter: he notices nothing unusual.

   • [-12,-12] Dark Forest
   • [-15,39] Cemetery of the Tortured: two maps have this position, the correct one is the one on the right
   • [34,-40] Grobe island, by the Pandala boat at [27,-27]

   To enter Dark Vlad's Labyrinth, you must have completed Pendulum Swinger's Guide, given by Lanseuft of Troille at [-5,13]. Everywhere, a fight can start at random: even if you lose, the quest updates, but you then have to collect the hunter at [6,-21].

   

   

   

   

10. 10Defeat the mad hunter

    Combat[10,-19] · Nightmare Hunter

    The Horlamare wasn't in any of the four locations, but you suddenly have a vision of a mine: the Astrub quarry workings. In the mine, talk to the Nightmare Hunter, who went mad when the creature appeared. The fight is done solo.

11. 11Attempt to destroy the Horlamare

    Dialogue[10,-19] · Horlamare

    Talk to the Horlamare to release the draconic sand: the powder only splits it into four entities. Talk to one of the four Pernicious Horlamares, then run. You receive the Night Terror curse, which reduces your damage, criticals, range and initiative: Draconiros will remove it for you later.

12. 12Go back to see Draconiros

    Dialogue[0,0] · Draconiros

    Go through the Infinite Dreams tab to get there, and talk to Draconiros to enter the Dreamlands. Talk to him again in his dragon form: so he is not the creator of this Horlamare and underestimated his opponent. The quest ends, and by continuing the conversation, you get the next one.
