The 11 quest steps

  1. 1Talk to Draconiros

    Dialogue · Draconiros

The quest starts in the Dreamlands, with Draconiros in his dragon form. He asks you to eliminate the four Horlamares by dividing them, using marks blessed by Eiwech, the god of dreams, placed in four places in the World of Twelve. He entrusts you with a part of his power to craft a nightmare catcher.

  3. 3Meet Eiwech's follower

    Dialogue · Dream Shepherdess

Eiwech's follower is the Dream Shepherdess. She gives you clues to find four resting places, which you will recognize by the presence of dream Gobblies.

  4. 4Place the four nightmare marks

Place a mark entrusted by Draconiros in each of the four places, in any order you like.

    • where a king dreams: in Allister's castle, go straight to the throne room, then right into Allister's bedroom; click his bed
    • where a god takes a nap: in the Sadida temple, in the room between the statue and the dopple, click the root sticking out of the ground
    • where an alchemist sleeps: in Otomai's house, go upstairs and click his bed
    • where a prisoner of time dreams: at the Frigost Town Hall, go to the room on the right and click the bed

  5. 5Start the hostilities

    Dialogue · Dream Gobbly

Go back to one of the four places. Equip the Nightmare Catcher as a weapon: it gives you the extra spell Nightmare Catcher, to use at the right moment to finish off each Horlamare. Talk to the Dream Gobbly on the map to activate the power of the marks.

    Dialogue

    1. “Say that you are ready to start hostilities”

You need to equip the Nightmare Catcher for each of the four fights, which are all solo.

  6. 6Capture the Oppressive Horlamare

    Combat · Oppressive Horlamare

At Allister's castle, talk to the Oppressive Horlamare. It is invulnerable and summons 5 small monsters. Each small one killed leaves a one-cell black glyph where it died: stand on it, otherwise it comes back to life on the next turn. So kill only one small one per turn; once they are all dead, cast Nightmare Catcher on the big one to finish it off in one go.

  7. 7Capture the Aggressive Horlamare

    Combat · Aggressive Horlamare

In Otomai's house, talk to the Aggressive Horlamare. It has few resistances, but the goal is not to kill it: hit it relentlessly to move it from state I to state VI, each state depending on an HP threshold. At state VI, at 2,500 HP, it becomes invulnerable: then cast Nightmare Catcher from its melee range, outside the black glyph.

The Nightmare Catcher spell only works outside the black glyph, that is, in melee with the Aggressive Horlamare.

  8. 8Capture the Stingy Horlamare

    Combat · Stingy Horlamare

At the Frigost Town Hall, talk to the Stingy Horlamare. It has 99% resistance everywhere and it is vulnerable: you need to make it invulnerable. Hit it every turn at least once in Water, Air, Fire or Earth: it takes the state of that element and hits in that element. Hold on for about 11 turns like this, then cast Nightmare Catcher on it.

It steals characteristics every turn and hits harder and harder: plan for resistant gear.

  9. 9Capture the Pernicious Horlamare

    Combat · Pernicious Horlamare

At the Sadida temple, talk to the Pernicious Horlamare. It has 99% resistance everywhere and splits into 8 small ones; nobody can move or be moved. Each monster has a purple glyph of radius 4, which grows by 1 per turn: each hit taken reduces it by 1, 2 at most per turn and per monster. At 0, the monster gets a skull state and a single hit eliminates it. Finish with the big one's glyph, then cast Nightmare Catcher on it.

Being inside a purple glyph hits for 200 Water damage: plan for resistant gear and area spells to hit several monsters at once.

  10. 10Go back to see Draconiros

    Dialogue · Draconiros

Go to the Dreamlands through the Infinite Dreams tab and talk to Draconiros to reach the crucible, then to Draconiros in his dragon form. Give him the Nightmare Catcher containing the four Horlamares: he throws it into the crucible while reciting a formula, and a vision appears in the smoke, as a cutscene.

    Dialogue

    1. “Join the dream of the dream crucible”
    2. “Proudly announce that you managed to capture the four Horlamares”
    • Nightmare Catcher icon1 × Nightmare Catcherto hand over
  11. 11Ask Draconiros about the vision

    Dialogue · Draconiros

The cutscene shows four mystery figures, perhaps behind the Horlamare. Talk to Draconiros again: he does not know who they are but is certain he knows them, and according to him a storm is brewing that will spare no one. The quest ends.
