The 5 rooms of Missiz Freezz's Frostforge

Five fights against the Armarines. Each has a spell, active two turns out of three, that punishes ranged damage: damage reflection, area Gravity or an HP decrease. Check their states before hitting from a distance. For each room: the scenery, then the tactical view with the starting cells (blue: you, red: the monsters). Tap an image to enlarge it.

Defeat Missiz Freezz

Pushback damage is very costly

Each pushback damage a character takes inflicts 20% erosion on them for the whole fight and, as long as Missiz Freezz lives, about 800 extra Neutral damage. Before each movement, look at where the snowdrift will send your allies, especially near an obstacle.

She hits at short range with Cold Blood, twice per turn, and at 8 cells with Icetrophysics, which erodes. Like her Armarines, she is Heavy and starts out invulnerable: you must push her back with a snowdrift to hit her, but each push heals her. She resists Neutral (14%) and Fire (16%) the least.

  • Icetrophysics icon
    Icetrophysics5 AP · 8 Range · 20% Erosion · Fire51 to 70 Fire damage · AirAir Damage: 35% erosion of the target's eroded HP · State Unlockable

The four-step strategy against Missiz Freezz

Positioning. Place a character close enough to the Skateman to push it back with their snowdrift as early as turn 1: it then loses its invulnerability and you can hit it. Avoid starting your turns with a monster in contact with you, which you'd be forced to move, and therefore heal.

Turn 1: the Skateman. The ideal is to finish it on turn 1, otherwise you'll have to make it vulnerable again on turn 2. Don't hit it from a distance when one of your characters is 5 cells or less from it, because of its area HP decrease.

The Stalak, then the Karkanik. The Stalak is easier to kill second, because the Karkanik has a fleeing AI. Watch the turns when their spells against ranged damage are active: the Stalak's reflection also hits your allies around it.

Missiz Freezz last. Don't let her come into contact with you: you would have to move her, and so heal her. When you hit her, nobody in her line or diagonal: otherwise, she pulls and deep-freezes those characters, and Cold Blood deals them a second line of damage. Make her unmovable so she doesn't benefit from pushes.

Snowdrifts and invulnerability

At the start of each character's turn, a black glyph appears on the four cells around them: the snowdrift. Walking onto it heals you for 15% of your max HP, pushes you one cell further, then pushes back everything around you by one cell: in a line up to 6 cells, diagonally up to 3. The snowdrift disappears once used and reveals you if you are invisible.

A monster pushed by a snowdrift loses its invulnerability for one turn. Summons don't create any. If you don't move, a new snowdrift lands on the old one on the next turn, and their effects apply twice when you walk through them.

Monofreeze and involuntary heals

The Monofreeze effect, present on everyone, acts like a snowdrift: an entity pushed by a spell is healed for 15% of its max HP and pushes back by one cell the entities in line and diagonal up to 6 cells. It's another way to make a monster vulnerable, and to heal your allies by pushing them.

To avoid being pushed, use the unmovable, rooted or unshakable states. Placed on Missiz Freezz, they prevent her from being healed by pushes. Failing that, a character can stay in contact with her without triggering a snowdrift, as long as another one makes her vulnerable each turn.

Ice of Spades, Deep Freeze and Crystallisation

When Missiz Freezz takes damage, she pulls into contact with her all the characters in line and diagonal with her, and puts them in Deep Freeze: Cold Blood then deals a second line of damage as life steal. Starting on turn 2, then every 3 turns, Crystallisation makes monsters Unable to Lock for one turn, and any attempt to remove MP gives them 3 MP: that turn, don't remove anything.

The monsters of Missiz Freezz's Frostforge

Five level 200 Armarines, each weak to a different element, with 6,000 HP. Their third spell, active two turns out of three, punishes ranged damage or movement. Against Missiz Freezz, the Skateman first, then the Stalak and the Karkanik. Resistances in red are their weaknesses.

In which order to kill the monsters

  1. Skateman — its two push spells can deal pushback damage to you, and it reduces the HP of everyone around it when it's hit from a distance.
  2. Stalak — easier to reach than the Karkanik, which flees.
  3. Karkanik — its fleeing AI keeps it away; it removes MP and range from you at a distance.

Preparing your run through Missiz Freezz's Frostforge

A level 190 to 200 dungeon rated medium difficulty, but one that doesn't forgive sloppy positioning. You come for the Frigost III and alignment quests, the achievements, the Totem of Anger and Missiz Freezz's soul, with a Soul Stone for Gigantic Souls.

How to enter Missiz Freezz's Frostforge

The entrance is at the Bleak Legion Bastion, on Frigost III, at , where Noo awaits you; the closest zaap is the Harebourg Castle Entrance one . To access Frigost III, you must have defeated the Celestial Bearbarian at least once. Three ways to open it: a Missiz Freezz's Frostforge Key (consumed), the key ring, or the automatic group search.

Crafting the Missiz Freezz's Frostforge Key

It is crafted at a handyman. Blood, Incisor, Incus and Tasty Meat drop at 12% from the dungeon's Armarines. Icefish (fishing), Snowdrop and Frosteez (harvesting) complete the recipe.

Which team to bring against Missiz Freezz

States that prevent being pushed. Unmovable, rooted or unshakable protect you from snowdrifts, and placed on Missiz Freezz, they prevent her from being healed when she is pushed. The Feca's Gravitational Glyph or the Pandawa's Stabilisation do the job.

Positioning and teleportation. Each movement into a snowdrift pushes a whole area: you need to be able to choose your landing cell. A teleportation spell lets you move without triggering a snowdrift, when a push would send an ally into an obstacle.

A character near the Skateman. The fight is decided on turn 1: a character able to approach the Skateman, push it back with their snowdrift and hit it right away saves a whole turn.

The classes that fit well. The Feca and the Pandawa make Missiz Freezz unmovable, with the Gravitational Glyph or Stabilisation. The Ouginak reduces her heals with Carving Up. Classes that push can also heal their allies, since each push restores 15% of max HP.

The six achievements of Missiz Freezz's Frostforge

Each achievement grants 200,000,000 XP and 2 Missiz Freezz's Armpit Hair, and Duo doubles the XP; Sidekick grants 75,000,000 XP. Nomad, Special and Duo are played with the basic strategy, while watching your MP and your pushes.

Nomad

Each ally must use all their MP every turn, with no partial flight. No particular difficulty: use all your MP every turn and don't get locked. Plan your landing cell before crossing a snowdrift, which pushes you one cell further.

Tight

Each ally must end their turn in contact with another ally. Since the challenge overhaul, a summon no longer counts as a partner: you must be stuck to a character or a companion. The difficulty is chain reactions: an ally stuck to you at the start of your turn ends up on your snowdrift. When you move, you push them to the other side, and they in turn push everything around them: their pushback damage, their erosion and the 800 Neutral damage become hard to predict.

Special: Watch Out, Slippery Floor

No ally may suffer pushback damage. Kill the Skateman first: both its spells push. When walking through a snowdrift, never push an ally against an obstacle, and take care with your end-of-turn positioning. In a dead end, go unmovable, unshakable or rooted, teleport, or simply don't trigger the snowdrift.

Duo

Two characters maximum, fewer than 40 turns. The basic strategy is enough, with two: the Skateman on turn 1 if possible, the Stalak, the Karkanik, then Missiz Freezz, made unmovable if you can. Everything must be finished by the end of turn 39.

Sidekick: Rats… literally or figuratively

Four characters minimum, including Rapiat, Plunder, Ougicle or Hulkrap. The fight is played with the basic strategy. Keep the companion alive until the last monster, and space the team out to avoid chain pushes.

Missiz Freezz's Frostforge as a guild Expedition

The Frostforge exists in two guild Expeditions, Audacious and Valour:

  • Audacious: a moved monster becomes unmovable for one turn. Missiz Freezz isn't affected, and an unmovable monster still loses its invulnerability: the basic strategy is enough;
  • Valour: any pushback damage kills outright the character who takes it. Kill the Skateman first and never push an ally against an obstacle when crossing a snowdrift;
  • in Valour, if each movement risks killing an ally, go unmovable, unshakable or rooted, teleport, or don't trigger the snowdrift.

Where is Missiz Freezz's Frostforge located?

At the Bleak Legion Bastion, on Frigost III, at . The nearest zaap is the one at Harebourg Castle Entrance .

What level should you be to do Missiz Freezz's Frostforge?

Minimum level 190, 200 recommended. Missiz Freezz is level 220, with 13,000 HP, and her Armarines level 200.

Which quest should you do in the Frostforge?

A Missiz Freezz Hack and Slash, with Noo at the entrance . Add The Last Map for the Guardian of the Day Without End, and Spine-Chilling or Cold Sweat depending on your alignment.

How do you make the monsters vulnerable?

Push them back with a snowdrift. Walk onto the black glyph that appeared around you: the pushed monster loses its invulnerability for one turn, but the push heals it too.

Which monster should you target first in Missiz Freezz's Frostforge?

The Skateman, ideally by turn 1. The Stalak comes next, then the Karkanik, which flees: Missiz Freezz is left for last.

How do you beat Missiz Freezz?

Kill her monsters first, then keep her away from contact with you. Hit her with nobody in her line or diagonal, and make her unmovable so she isn't healed by pushes.

Why do my MP removals give MP to the monsters?

It's Crystallisation. On the turn it's active, any attempt to remove MP gives 3 MP to the targeted enemy: wait for the next turn.

Which stone should you use to capture Missiz Freezz?

One Soul Stone for Gigantic Souls. Missiz Freezz is level 220.

How do you get to Frigost III?

You must have defeated the Celestial Bearbarian at least once. The closest zaap to the dungeon is then the Harebourg Castle Entrance one .

Can the Frostforge be done with two players?

Yes, it's even an achievement: the Duo, in fewer than 40 turns. The basic strategy is enough, with the Skateman to be killed as early as possible.
