Defeat Raccooper

The Camaraderie shield

From the first turn, Raccooper teleports next to an ally and gives it a shield for 2 turns. Leave that monster alone and hit another one until the shield disappears. Same logic for monsters linked by the Loutbear's Eagerness.

Teleportation next to an ally, in a line from 3 to 9 RNG, and a shield for 2 turns. 3-turn cooldown: switch targets in the meantime.

The four-step strategy against Raccooper

Timongoose first. It pulls, weakens you in Water and gives 3 AP to its allies. Kill it first, in Fire or Neutral, its two weaknesses.

Get around the protections. Raccooper casts Camaraderie on turn 1: do not hit the protected monster, take the next one. Same thing for monsters linked by the Loutbear's Eagerness: aim at a monster outside the sharing.

Bulkyfallo, then Loutbear. The Bulkyfallo charges at you with Tackle, the Loutbear strikes in melee and shares damage. Keep your distance while you kill them; Thoronduddleswell and Coolwolf come next, depending on their position.

Raccooper last. Alone, he has no one left to protect: finish him quickly, since the Prsymatic Weaknesses stacking on you make each turn costlier.

Elemental weaknesses

In the Snowbound Timberland as in the dungeon, each monster strikes in a single element. With each strike, it applies -20% resistance in that element to its target and to itself, for 3 turns, stackable three times. On a critical hit, the target takes -30% and the monster only -15%.

The Bulkyfallo weakens in Earth, the Loutbear in Neutral, the Thoronduddleswell in Air, the Timongoose in Water, the Coolwolf in Fire. Raccooper applies -10% in all elements, and nothing on him for criticals. A monster that has just struck is weakened in turn: hit it in the element it just used.

The monsters of the Sylvan Refuge

Five level 42 animals, one striking element each and low resistances. Each one weakens you in its element with every hit. The resistances in red are their weaknesses.

In which order to kill the monsters

  1. Timongoose — it pulls and gives 3 AP to its allies.
  2. Bulkyfallo — it charges at you with Tackle and strikes around it.
  3. Loutbear — it strikes in melee and shares damage among its allies.
  4. Thoronduddleswell, then Coolwolf — one pushes back and speeds up its allies, the other reduces your healing.

Preparing your run through the Sylvan Refuge

A medium-difficulty dungeon for teams of level 40 to 50, ideal for learning to handle elemental penalties without a punishing mechanic. People come here for the Valonia quests, for the Ochre Dofus with a Soul Stone for Small Souls (captures up to level 50), and for the Nicking for Ninnies from the achievements.

How to enter the Sylvan Refuge

The entrance is in the Snowbound Timberland, on the Valonia archipelago, at ; the Snowbound Timberland zaap is very close. The archipelago is reached by the Amakna boat . You enter with a Sylvan Refuge Key, the key ring or the group search.

Crafting the Sylvan Refuge Key

It is crafted by a handyman. Five ingredients drop in the dungeon, at 48%: Bulkyfallo Horn, Loutbear Claw, Thoronduddleswell Feather, Timongoose Fur and Tender Meat. Breaded Fish, 5-leaf Clover and Oats complete the recipe.

Which team to bring against Raccooper

Play at a distance. The fewer hits you take, the fewer weaknesses you stack. Removal, displacement or protections keep the monsters away despite Tackle, Flurry of Feathers and Spit Spurt.

Several elements. Each monster has its weaknesses and weakens itself when it strikes. Varying the elements lets you take advantage of every opening, without depending on a single one.

The six achievements of the Sylvan Refuge

Each achievement gives 510,000 XP and 2 Nicking for Ninnies, Duo doubles the XP; Sidekick gives 765,000 XP. Last and Cautious are done with the basic strategy.

Achievements Condition Points XP
Raccooper (Sidekick) Defeat Raccooper in his dungeon while completing the “Mini Inuits” challenge. 5 765 000

Last

Raccooper must be finished off last. Nothing special: monsters first, Raccooper afterwards, as in the basic strategy.

Cautious

No ally must end their turn next to an enemy. Watch your final cell, especially after Tackle and Spit Spurt. If you risk being locked without being able to flee, by push or teleportation, simply stay away from the monsters.

Special: Forest Vigilance

Do not stack more than two different elemental weaknesses at the start of your turn. Stay at a distance to limit the hits you take, and therefore the weaknesses. Each monster only applies one, that of its element: do not let three monsters of different elements hit the same character.

Duo

Two characters at most, in fewer than 20 turns. Not very complicated: survive and eliminate all the monsters in the basic order, Timongoose first. Everything must be finished by the end of turn 19.

Sidekick: Mini Inuits

At least four characters, including one eligible companion: Inferno, Styx, Mandrin or Will Killson. The basic strategy. Keep the companion alive until the end, away from monsters that pull or charge at their target.
